Ok sensible debate you wanted – Not sure that your rather facetious comment is really worthy of truly sensible debate, but here’s my take on the situation and you can decide whether this is sensible or not. Firstly as already noted we are not ‘miles away from winning anything’ successive top 3 finishes, a cup semi final and 4 successive seasons of improvement in league position, not of course forgetting the individual awards that have been won, successive golden boots, young player of the year awards and a raft of monthly awards too. If we tail off a little due to the Wembley factor who knows what will happen, but maybe we are creating a team with an ethos of building for the triumphant return to White Hart Lane, maybe our players are not the money grabbing mercenaries that you accuse of them being. They all will be very wealthy people even on the paupers wages that we apparently pay and they may all stay forever safe in the knowledge that a career as heroes at the new WHL just can’t be bettered and that after 10 years even on our small wages they would all still have amassed a personal wealth of over £30m and of course be multiple title winners at the mighty Tottenham Hotspur – Most people would consider that to be a successful career.
Arsenal have won 3 fa cups and have finished top 4 every year since moving stadiums (apart from this season) and west ham have been a yoyo club for the past 15 years (being relegated in 2002, 2008 and I think in 2012 ish).
So you are in the **** then with the plans to extend your stadium and move the dressing rooms to make them CL standard?
For ****'s sake. I miss one day and come back to that load of old balls! No insulting or abusing other forum members that are eligible to post on this board, please. Virtually everyone did a very good job of not responding in kind, to be fair. Had to remove a few posts quoting insults or abuse though, unfortunately. For those that don't know, Champions of England is also known as arrothefoxinoz. He used to be a serial WUM on Ja until he was banned. There were some questions about where he'd got to last season, I believe.

Today's HUGE story is in The Mirror. Jose wants United to bid £60m for 'unhappy' Eric Dier. Although John Cross is in Australia with his beloved Gooners, the bloke who has come up with this 'scoop' is the Mirror's Midlands football correspondent - a part of the country that plays no part whatsoever in this tale, other than it's a part of the country lying between London and Manchester. Hmmmm, nothing to substantiate it, impossible to disprove, not given any column inches elsewhere and from someone who Mourinho or United wouldn't give the steam off their piss..............sounds fair enough to me.
Zero quotes, as usual, but this is the type of transfer rumour that sounds halfway sensible and would be the only scenario whereby I could come to accept Walker's departure. http://metro.co.uk/2017/07/11/totte...f-manchester-citys-kelechi-iheanacho-6769854/
That is actually joined-up hack-ery (for once) . But as I have said on the Hack watch, if what his agent allegedly said is true, Citeh are put in the worse position. We shall soon see ...
It could help both sides. Citeh won't want to be seen to be overpaying as they've still got shopping to do and will want to be seen to have negotiated successfully. We can lose some of the transfer fee with a player replacing cash as there's a sell-on clause with Sheffield United and we'll want to get that down, if at all possible. Citeh want a buy-back clause and not to sell to a rival and are supposed to be in a hurry. We need a striker and don't want to encourage others to try and take our best players. Both parties get something that they want and save a bit of face. Makes all the sense in the world. Won't happen though. Iheanacho has set his heart on Leicester!
Of course he does. Dazzlingly attacking, forward-thinking style of football. Why would he want to move to 'Hoofball Hotspur'?
Madrid misfit James Rodriguez has signed for Bayern Munich on a 2 year loan deal. That doesn't raise much cash if they're looking to buy Mbappe. It also expires with only 12 months on his contract. Very curious.
Their deal with Juventus for Coman was similarly strange. I assume that there's some unusual accounting going on, to be honest. Very odd stuff.
Why do they need Mbappe anyway ?? Is CR7 definitely going in a Spanish tax strop ?? If so, didn't they already pay a club record fee in 2013 for his replacement ??
Must be their charming fans that appeal so much. That or Ahmed Musa had a few dozen words in his shell-like
Today's clickbait summary... "Manchester United willing to go up to £60m for Dier" - Dier's a Spurs player, making us the club who say how much another club should be "willing" to pay. "Spurs defender confirms he wants to quit" - ...but if the headline said "Wimmer wants to leave" the story would get 7.9% of the clicks. "No announcement but reports state Tottenham have secured £6m transfer" - ...of Clinton N'Jie. To Marseilles. Which anyone checking their Twitter will have concluded already. "Famous European club plot move for Moussa Sissoko" - People have heard of Olympique de Marseille...although my question is which are ones the hack believes nobody has heard of?
http://sportwitness.co.uk/player-re...iple-join-tottenham-club-official-set-travel/ Might be more to this one. It strikes me as the sort of deal that's been in our sweetspot. It also strikes me that Pochettino is interested in signing a young Pochettino.
