we need a midfield enforcer/tough nut/tackler whatever you wana call them..our midfield is too lightweight and too easily bullied..if mckenna was brought in to do that job, thats a fail
we also need somebody who can take a corner

True it's a tough division with kids. We need experience and strength. We are too slow at the present Leeds broke with speed and attacking intention, plus they looked like they knew where the goal is! Unlike our front 4/5 :(

    1. Keeper that can command his area, catch the ball, organise a wall and communicate with his back 4.
    2. An experienced and commanding centre back to play alongside Chester
    3. A left back who is either not so obviously passed his best or a young kid who looks frightened of the ball
    4. Ian Ashbee
    5. Jimmy Bullard
    6. Koren to be interested in playing for 90 minutes and not just when he feels like it
    7. Brady to be played on the left wing – he has no right foot
    8. Adebola to never play for us again
    9. A striker who actually knows where the goal is
    10. Corner taking practice
    11. Nigel Pearson to take a course in football management ‘how to stop making stupid substitutions’
    12. A new manager?
    13. £10 million for new players
    14. Did I mention Jimmy Bullard?

We need a team like five years ago. A team that has played together for years. That was one of our main strengths. Pearson has got rid of the whole squad within the space of a season (more or less). I cannot honestly feel a connection with the team at the moment. Given time I'm sure it will be a very good team. Unfortunately for Pearson, time is not on his side as tigers fans haven't the greatest patience in the land which is surprising considering the time we spent in the basement. What we do lack is a consistant Captain who will give it to both teams on the pitch and has a no surrender attitude. I'm not suggesting Ash but I am suggesting someone worthy of replacing him. I hope Pearson manages to sort it out as the fans will soon get on his back. I know its only 3 games but last night showed the fighting spirit of previous tigers teams has not yet come to the current squad. Pretty football is all well and good, but without an end product its about as much use as Marney running around for 90 minutes.

I think number 13 sums it up, we have to go with what we have, we can constantly keep signing new players and hope it works, we don't have the money to do that. For anyone who watched the game last night (not saying you didn't), i doubt anyone can actually say it was that bad. For so many weeks and months people have being banging on at Nigel Pearson to play a more attacking game, what did we go out and do last night...... Dudgeon for me has to start above Dawson it takes away experience but he is a class above to.

Why does everyone say we need Bullard when we lose but he's hardly mentioned if we win. He's never going to play for us again and I dont want him to. Its the same with Ashbee, he wasn't even good!!

Unfortunately, I was there. How anyone can take anything positive out of last night is beyond me. I must have been asleep during the part of the game that the eternal optimists classed as ‘actually not that bad’. We were outplayed and outfought by a team that was primarily Leeds reserve team, we were shocking for the whole 90 minutes and we didn’t look like we stood a chance of winning the game from the first to the last whistle.

its quite simple really and im really surprised NP and our staff havnt pointed this out... we NEED a good goalkeeper who is here to stay, on a permanent contract.
since NP came here we've had 6 goalkeepers in just over 1 season in the championship.

Myhill (only played pre-season?) Duke, Mannone, Guzan, Galusci, Basso + (Elioff on trial)

biggest mistake was not signing a no.1 goalkeeper on a permanent for this season. Basso is here for backup & competition only.

secondly NP's biggest mistake is not signing the type of players we need, he's signed the wrong players this season. when you go in for the likes of Danns, Greening and others, that tells us all what we already knew, we're crying out for a creative midfielder who runs games. NP obviously thinks the same otherwise he wouldnt have gone after those players. but when those targets sign for other clubs you surely must keep trying to get the best players in... but no, we go for McKenna who is never a creative midfielder and who has been released from forrest because he wasnt good enough for them.

same for adebola... we needed a big powerful striker to add a different dimension to our attacking play. there's other options out there and we all know it. adebola was the wrong option.

Yes you was asleep i am assuming, as during the first half our possession stats where far better, if it wasn't for our awful set pieces we could have created far more chances in the first half. Well i do take something positive as if it wasn't for keepers mistakes they probably would of only scored one of their goals..... and that was given away with 4 strikers on the pitch.

I don't think constantly signing players like you suggests is the answer, as we can't. And neither is bringing Jimmy Bullard back as lets be honest is that going to happen? No. So why even discuss it?

We can't afford the quality of keepers that we can on loan. You can't include Eilhoff in the number of keepers as he never had a contract with us, the same can be said of Myhil as we had to sell him. So that's four keepers in two seasons but 3 have been on loan, nothing wrong with that. That was far from the biggest mistake.

We tried to sign Danns but we couldn't afford what Leicester were offering and until the rest of the big earners leave then we are still going to be restricted. McKenna wasn't released by Forest and Adebola is just something different to what we have and a decent signing.

Are you in the real world?

This may sound obvious but it will also free Koren up to move back into Center Mid, i dont think Koren is cut out to be a winger and we need him in the center.

Agree tigerman, we can't afford/get in what we need. A quality keeper, an Ashbee of 5 years ago, and a quick, natural finisher - all 3 are either hard to find, not available, or out of our reach financially. We can all see what we need, including NP - but we aren't going to get them. It's time for realism amongst us fans.

Possession means nothing. We did nothing with the ball apart from pass it around at the back and try and thread the ball through the eye of the needle which was the Leeds defence. It was painful. McKenna and Dawson exchanged 7 passes and not one of the looked to set up an attack. We can have the ball all game but we dont do anything with it what's the point?

    This is not a positive!

    Neither is this!!

And we still didn't score? I'm not finding that too positive either!

We can, and we will. Pearson has already said we are looking at players. I'd expect at least 2 or 3 new arrivals.

Because we have the best CM in the division sat in the stands and some very average CM's on the pitch!

But Jimmy Bullard will not play for us ever again, ever. So why even think of it. I am not saying they are positives but they are things that can easily be corrected, set pieces can be worked on and we can get a new keeper. Yes but the players we need cost a fortune and we don't have that money. We just need to trust NP, as we was hardly bad last night, Leeds took their chances we didn't take ours, simple as.

And yes we didn't score, but one we created the chances to, and secondly their keeper had a stormer, and was voted MOTM by numerous Leeds sites. If we played THAT AWFUL as you claim, would their keeper be voted MOTM?

what we need and want we cant have.
The whole management team/owners have wasted time and money on the likes of Gulasci, Hobbs, Adebyola and Mckenna when we could have had , Mannone, Gerrard, Ayala, Chopra, Keogh or anyone better than the inept signings that Pearson has made.
Too late now all the decent players have gone. Too tight to spend.

Darren Ambrose/Anthony Gerrard/Markus Hahneman and a striker. gulacsi isn't ready for this level yet a wasted loan slot.
