I doubt very much we will sell him for £30 Million, matter of fact I think he is going nowhere, just the rags doing the rounds with their usual rubbish......
one day, fans will wake up and realise the obscene wages these ppl get for kicking a ball around for 90 minutes a week (perhaps 180) and stop paying their hard earned to watch them. the greed of the players is destroying the game and the club owners are also to blame for paying silly money for players and paying the wages.Sanchez (reported wants 400K a week), the game has become a disgrace for the fact that wages and billionaire owners run it. I noticed several posts re PL being the best league - wake up, every league atm has their 2-3, 3-4, 5-6 best sides and the rest are rubbish, and why - money. I would rather watch a championship match than stoke v WBA, more heart and passion. I shudder to think what we pay our so called stars per week - is an obligation to do junior coaching with the local under 10 sides? ok, rant over
Excellent post one which may will agree with I'm sure but one question : Did you manage to come over all the way from Oz to watch the Swans
I hope you are spot on. Just cant see him being here next year. If he goes we must screw Everton for every penny.
I still love the club, but have this season not renewed my ST, you are right the money is obscene. My fix this year is going to be coaching Garden Village u19's in the Welsh league and also their seconds. Watching some fantastic young footballers put everything into every game and doing because they love playing. It is an excellent standard and some excellent football played.
I hope not I like Cork, we will be needing a whole new side the way this is starting to look. We have to keep the nucleus of our team and add a bit more quality around it.
Perhaps this will allow Fulton, who I think is potentially a better and more skillful player than Cork, to have more game time. There are other under 23's such as Adam King who deserve some game time off the bench as well.
I am sure if PC had rated them above what he had, they would have more game time. Maybe this season they will impress him more. We will have to see what he does and who he picks.
Not looking good..... Take a look at @leighdineen's Tweet: http://m.calciomercato.com/en/news/...ints-at-everton-nabbing-30m-spurs-targe-46734
Looks like Siggys going. Shame but if a player wants the deal then who are we to stop it. I think we're getting caught between his market value, what he's actually worth, and his street value, what he's worth to us. To us Siggys is almost priceless, certainly worth far more than the £30 being bandied about but, we're never going to get that. All we'll ever get is his actual value and £30m is about right for a good 28yo player who is playing his best football. What Everton are buying and what we are selling is the number of years he has left at the top of his game and at 28, its only going to be one, maybe two. That's why I think £30m sounds about right. Also, he's good but he's no Messi. What's worrying me is that each year now our best players seem to be linked with moves to Everton or Spurs. Its as though to them, we're a feeder club. For that reason alone we should NEVER sell any of our assets to them. I go further and blacklist them in out transfer dealings. Another valid reason to justify blacklisting Everton and Spurs, and I'd add Southampton onto the blacklist, is because these are the types of clubs we SHOULD be aspiring to be. We should be trying to emulate Everton and Spurs by putting ourselves in a position to compete with them on and off the pitch. Selling them our brightest and best improves them while diminishing. In the board room it shows us to be, at best, short sighted, at worst, completely blind. There's nothing wrong in buying and selling players, nothing wrong with selling Siggy, nothing wrong with a fee of £30+ imo. If the board has any ambition for us to become a top half club consistently knocking on the European door then selling any of our players to Everton is Naive, myopic, straight up bad business and very wrong.

I have to say 10m for Cork is very good business, we would still probably need to replace or as others say rely on the youngsters. If he goes still leaves us Leon, Ki, Messa, Fer, Fulton. Is that good enough I am not sure, may well be as Cork wasn't getting a game towards the end of last season. Question, if we do lose Siggy, who do you fancy as a replacement, Same for Llorente. I don't know who we get to replace Siggy, but we will need a very creative 10 to do it.
