I'm already there! Brutal honesty 2 games in gave the game away. At the time I was hoping there was some management reverse psychology or some **** like that going on and was willing to hope he had a plan. And he was the big name signing! Now we know he didn't have a plan. Not early on. Not a plan that the diminished squad was prepared to buy into anyway. And Short said he was the manager he'd waited 5 years for. Way to go Short! You forgot to check what he'd been up to the last 2 of those years! Nice one!
I think alarm bells were quietly ringing when Moyes made the comment about us being in a relegation battle after the season had barely started and they got louder and louder. By the time we were plummeting towards relegation being a mathematical certainty I'm sure that most fans would have thought of Moyes as a stone cold disaster.
He needs to rebuild his rep doesn't he as it's currently at zero. He's even got that slap comment hanging over him as well as his terrible performances on the pitch and in interviews. If I was him I'd take a job in the Championship and work on getting myself up to speed with managers worth their salt who have a clue about players beyond those they've managed before. Wouldn't be surprised if he does none of that and just sits on his arse waiting for United to take him back.
He does seem to have that bit of arrogance about him I reckon we let him 'resign' before he was officially pushed.
It's weird though isn't it? At Everton he seemed happy & just got on with it whilst with us he was just such a dour, negative twat.
