We all know that we ****ed up the last 2 windows but they have more than enough credit in the bank at the moment.

Simply have to get it right this Summer though.

 

They've made some good signings on paper. You've got to win games on the pitch.

Newcastle the season before
Many other teams before that.....

So may teams do it and fail. Let's jus be patient. See what we have come 1st September and see how the new coach deals with it all.

Why do we need a marquee signing?

I'd be happy if we sign an unknown who turns out to be the dogs bollocks.

Not saying that they are all good. But at the time they signed they all had a "wow ok that's a good signing by Saints factor".

I quite liked the kit launch. Always so much moaning among football fans so it was nice to see something different and unique.

 

I certainly enjoyed it as well. Was something different. My girlfriend also liked it, and she rolls her eyes at anything related to football.

 

I don't the only they were all marquee signings.

Boufal was relatively unknown
Virgil was good in a **** league
Mane was unknown/Tony an unsuccessful Dutch export to Spain

Osvaldo and Gaston I'll give you as Cortese marquee style signings.

The fact some of those have gone on to be excellent doesn't mean they were marqueee signings at the time.

 

It was light hearted entertainment. Some people take life far too seriously.

 

Agree with this aside from Boufal. He had been linked to some top clubs such as Liverpool and we broke our transfer record to sign him. I'd say that qualified as marquee
