I know there is a very long way to go but what would you predict the league table will look like at the end of the season?

    I'd go:

    1) Man City
    2) Man Utd
    3) Chelski
    4) Spurs
    5) Liverpool
    6) Bolton
    7) mackems
    8) Le Arse
    9) Newcastle United
    10) Villa
    11) Everton
    12) Stoke
    13) West Brom
    14) Fulham
    15) Wolves
    16) Swansea
    17) Blackburn
    18) Wigan
    19) Norwich
    20) QPR

EDIT: Using the multi board post thing I have included our mackem 'friends' in order to get there 'valued' opinion.

Putting them above us will get you some brownie points off them.

It was hard to admit but I think they will finish above us they have significantly strengthened. However we'll still beat the over the derby's and that'll do for me!

I know Arsenal are weaker than last season but they are still much better than Bolton and Sunderland. Personally I can still see them getting champions league ahead of Spurs and Liverpool.

Arsenal 8th really?..... I'd be very surprised if they still didn't finish in the top 4. On the other hand, 9th place for us would be terrific and possibly a europa league spot for winning the cup ;)

It's a difficult one because this season is as difficult to predict as last season.. but if I had to take a shot at it...

    6. Spurs

  11. God there are some pessimists on here.

And Sunderland have got a good side but i can't see them finishing 7th.

It'll be the same top 7 as last year in a different order.

The bottom 6 will consist of Blackburn, Wigan, Swansea, Norwich, Qpr, Wolves.

There will be 7 teams that could finish anywhere above the bottom 6 and below the top 7.

Newcastle, Sunderland, Stoke, Bolton, Villa, West Brom, Fulham.

<laugh> It might not be as unrealistic as you think! They were very weak against us. They have sold there two best players. They have severe disciplinary issues. Wenger has completely lost the plot. They still haven't bought thee defenders and keeper they needed from last season. So I think they will struggle this year <ok>

They are still good enough to finish in the top 6 easily, IMHO

    You heard it here first.

I think we'll finish above the mackems for three reasons:

1). Only IF we get a new left back and new striker, we'll have a much improved starting 11 over last season. I can see players like Ba and Cabaye improving week after week, and if we can keep up the same defence against most opposition teams, we should be difficult to beat. Ben Arfa will also be back... someday.

2). For some reason, something Bruce does with his players results in a ****load of injuries. Bruce is still there, so I think the problem will still be there, but perhaps not as severe.

3). The problem which seemed to suddenly ignite Sunderland's mid-season slump, the sale of Bent, hasn't been addressed. Two great future prospect yes, but no good EPL quality striker, despite all the spending.

Mind you, if Sunderland get Kranjcar, I'll be worried.

Bolton 6th? How? They've lost two strikers (allbeit one a bit ****e in Elmander) and their best player is out for the season with a broken leg, as is their new RB. They've also sold a really useful left winger in Matty Taylor.

    I'd go:

    1. Man Utd
    2. Man City
    3. Chelsea
    4. Liverpool
    5. Arsenal
    6. Spurs
    7. Fulham
    8. Everton
    9. Newcastle
    10. Sunderland
    11. Stoke
    12. Aston Villa
    13. West Brom
    14. Bolton
    15. Wolves
    16. Wigan
    17. Blackburn
    18. Swansea
    19. Norwich
    20. QPR

I can see any of the group in 7th to 11th finishing in any order, each with a chance of 7th.
