Sorry for the pessimism but I just cannot see this takeover taking place. It seems to be all talk and if this Asian chap does take over has he the funds to improve the current position ? I hope we are not going down the Portsmouth route where the club is used and comes out all the poorer. So if nothing happens in the next two weeks where will that leave us ? We will probably be struggling at the bottom - Neil will not have the funds to get the 3 to 4 players he thinks he needs. There will probably be some championship teams who have not started as well as they wanted and will look to someone like Neil who has a proven track record at that level of fast results. If they are prepared to back him would he go ? Even worse it would be left to Paladini, Eccles/Bria to select the new manager - and we know where that left us last time. Hope I am wrong but I do not have a good feeling about this.
The report says Fernades has changed his mind about buying just part of the club. That suggests to me that the deal with the Goons is not done yet
Fact: Ferdy does not have the cash to buy a loss making QPR and bankroll an F1 team. So he is either using someone else's money or will be borrowing against TV revenues....... neither attractive prospects. Most likely this has all been a wind up conspiracy with the Goons to flush out the other alleged interested parties. Let's hope it works today and Mittal gets his cashpoint card out
Is the Ealing Gazette part of News Corporation? Tango & Cash are slippery slugs, I don't trust anyone in business but those two are evil. Be patient guys and take these rumours with a pinch of salt.
I'd rather be a Ranger than a Gunner lol, 2 great players gone adios, moaning boring manager, never any money to spend, an NO SILVERWARE IN THE CABINET!!!
Doesn't the report also say he's already thrashed out a deal to take the goons' share? He could just be asking mittal the question, not necessarily with the intention of pulling out altogether if he says no. Trying to be positive here. C'mon guys, help me out!!!!
More likely it's time to put up or shut up, and he's creating complications, so he can get out. Flim Flam Man.
This is why my alias is QPAAAAAGH! Only our dear club could cook up a saga where many wealthy investors fight over ownership and yet there is a very real possibility we will end up with no investment at all. If I wasn't a fan I would be amused by all this and very interested to see what will happen when Ecclestone ends up still holding a baby he does not want.
This just need to get sorted out one way or another. Need to get the club settled so we can concentrate on the Pitch and not in the half empty Directors box.
Rather than seeing it as no one wanting the club, I think we may have two people who want it but don't want to share - Lakshmi and Tony. It seems that any thought that these two could work together for the benefit of the club is off the table at the moment - One of them wants to come out on top. It really tests the Mittals commitment to the club. Ferdy will obviously have to offer them a better price for their 33% than he's agreed for the 67% Goons share (which could, in itself, cause problems between Ferdy and the Goons) The Mittals will be thinking, if we refuse to sell and Ferdy pulls out, the Goons are, as said in threads above, in a pickle because they want OUT now (they won't put money into the club and with each game lost, their investment goes down). The Mittals could manoeuvre themselves into a good buying position...
How about Fernandes is a front for the goons and the 'wanna buy out the Mittals' line is actually a 'want the Mittals to buy me out' line? I'm so frustrated, I just want this sorted one way or another so the whole club can pull together and move forward. All this limbo **** is doing my head in and I dont think I'm the only one.
