I don`t know much about rugby, and Gatland obviously doesn`t think any Scottish players were good enough, even for the bench - fair enough. I don`t get how Scotland are supposed to be 4th ranked in the world, and beat Ireland, Wales and Autsralia in the last couple of months.

He's not actually Sky Italia - that's Davide Valsecchi who used to race in GP2 (and was pretty handy) and who commentates (in a hilariously Italian fashion) on British Sky for the F2 races. Bit of a dull race apart from the last few laps. When are we going to give up on the ghost of Kimi past? Get Charles LeClerc in the car next season please. He's an exceptional talent.
Geraint Thomas is out of Le Tour after crashing and breaking his collarbone Poor Geraint hasn't had a very good year with crashes this year. Wonder how much Froome will miss him...

Quite a lot I should think. He was never going to seriously rival Froome for the yellow, despite wearing it himself for 4 days by virtue of winning the Prologue time trial. What he brought to the Sky team in terms of grinding out the hard miles protecting Froome and keeping him at the front of the peloton, especially in the mountains, is irreplaceable. He'll be back though, and I fancy him for the GC title in a few years if Froome gets bored winning it. Also sad to see Richie Porte crash out of the Tour in such a horrific cash, and let's hope he makes a full recovery too.
