Kane did it in 30 games thought whereas Lukaku played 37. Also, Kane just got better and better as the season went on, Lukaku majorly fizzled out. I personally think is Kane is the far superior player but next season will be interesting for sure.

Kane is absolutely the better player, by a distance.

Lukaku is still a monster of a player though, he will improve at United and he will be a massive goal scorer for them.

The money will cover itself at a club like united, just like Pogba did. He will pay for himself in a fortnight.

Definitely I agree, Kane is a better striker. Spurs were also a far better team than Everton in general.

Kane is unobtainable imo, definitely this year.

Kane must be priceless because i cant understand why nobodys offered a similar kind of sum for him.
Hes in the top 3 best strikers in europe in my opinion.

I'm pretty sure when Real Madrid signed Ronaldo for a then world record of £80m they had recouped his transfer fee in merchandise within 2 weeks...

Gone from an agreed amount of £75m to Everton demanding add ons that take it to £90m. Incredible sum for a club like Everton. I thought they were mental when they signed him for nearly £30m when it was clear they couldn't afford a top end team. How ****ing wrong I was.

Noone can afford him imo. I doubt Levy would even consider an offer less than £150m.

Spurs would be insane to sell Kane at any price as he is irreplaceable.

You might get someone 80% as good for a third of the money but how is that progress?

I'd be amazed if he left Spurs other than for a stint abroad. The lad is superb and improving, top 3 in the world and found as ****.

There's maybe Higuain on his day and Suarez who are better strikers. Suarez is a completely different style of player and Higuain is miles behind Kane on consistency.

Kane is a monster of a player it would be suicide for Spurs to sell, even for £200million in ny eyes.

Spurs, once in that new stadium, can step into the top bracket of clubs in the world, they won't do that selling Kane, Alli or any of that.

They've already got another 5-6 young lads almost ready to step up as well, it must be wonderful being a Spurs fan right now, I ****ing envy them, I really do.

I cant think of the last time i saw a more complete striker than Kane. He has no weakness whatsoever.

I agree 100%. He's magnificent and still improving.

For all we are Sunderland we all have to grudgingly accept Shearer was the one as a striker. Kane has far more game but also that nasty streak and that ruthlessness.

He already is and will be one of the greats, and he doesn't need to leave Spurs to do it, that's a club that is rising massively.

    Eh?

Selling their star player puts them as top 4 certs?

Can't see them finishing above Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, City or Man Utd.

Think Rooney is a waste of a bloated set of wages but that's probably the only bad move they've made.

Lukaku will be a miss but they seem to be reinvesting cleverly. Top 6 assured I reckon.

They'll fight it out with Liverpool for that 6th spot, imo

He is very similar to Shearer though is way ahead of where Shearer was at 23 (he only really got into his stride when he moved to Blackburn around 22ish). His last 3 seasons:

    upload_2017-7-9_23-54-11.png
    (102 games, 75 goals)

compare with Shearer at his best
    upload_2017-7-9_23-59-19.png
    (117 games, 96 goals)

The question is whether he can keep it up for a career whilst others have fizzled out (Owen, Rooney, etc) but given how he comes across it seems likely he'll still be banging them in in a decade. Unless he decides to go abroad he'll challenge the 260 odd goals for record goal-scorer and probably beat it.

He doesn't get injured a lot and that's a massive advantage, when he does get a knock he's always back quickly.

If anyone's likely to take the record away it's likely to be him I'd say. He's always there as well, smaller teams, big games. He's a proper player like.
