Pleased for Maja. I mean both goals were gifted with awful goalkeeping but that won't matter a jot to the lad. Huge confidence boost.

Jack Charlton maintained that every goal was the result of a defensive error, or something along those lines, so here's to a few more this season, going in at the right end of course, things are slowly improving, and a few more wins will do wonders for confidence, which is half the battle. <ok>

IMO Good solid player who will be a real experienced defensive asset in championship - I'm sure he'll stay with Simon (Positivity)son

Absolutely. Every goal would be avoidable somewhere along the line - if that ball hadn't been put out there. If the defender was 3 foot to the right etc. etc. - I remember Jack Charlton's interview where he was talking about it and the discussions afterwards by the pundits. Can;t argue with any of it - even that screaming carlos edwards goal - it was a fantastic move but the oppo should've done better when they had the ball in our box!

Can't blame them for wanting to leave when we got relegated with Moyes, if I'd only been supporting Sunderland for as long as Oviedo has played for us I'd have felt like picking a new team to support after that horrorshow of a season. I imagine it's a completely different atmosphere now even if we are in a lower league.
