Right re the drop goals.... in front there again on the 22.... kick the goal get the ball back and control it...

 

I watched a programme about officiating in sport a bit back, and they interviewed players and fans at games.

There were the usual comments, but at a union game the ref made a key call that would affect the outcome and on the face of the decision could go either way.

The interviewer did his best to get the fans to be controversial or critical of the call, but the supporters of the team on the wrong side of the call effectively said it doesn't matter if the ref was right or wrong on the call, the decision won't change so suck it up and deal with where the play is at.

EDIT, The interviewer was asking the fans how could they be sure it was a knock on, and they said 'because the ref said so'. So he pushed it, and said, 'do you believe he knocked it on' and they said 'it doesn't matter if he did or he didn't, the ref has called knock on, so it's a knock on'.
