Is he good enough to play the Fabregas role? That's the only question that needs asking of ANY midfielder coming in. Gervinho, Theo, Arshavin, Miyaichi, Oxo - all fast wingers / forwards. Another is not needed. What was evident last night is Arsenal need an Attacking Midfielder to compete with Ramsey for the playmaker role. Is Hazard good enough? Is he worth the reported £26m being asked for him?
Yes but we have had them bar Ryo since Saturday and yet there is a void in midfield. Last night we were reportedly swamped by Udinese in the middle of the park. There hasn't been sufficient creativity to also feed the forward line and Aaron Ramsey needs more time so IMHO yes, we do need Eden Hazard. Who else would you suggest because if we don't do something very soon, come January it will be too late
Yes he's fantastic. Not as good as Fabregas I suppose but better than Nasri. He's also a real goal threat so thats a bonus. He's more like a second striker than a midfield playmaker though. Would be a class signing.
Hazard is a winger, why would you buy him to replace Fabregas? Surely you'd buy him to replace Nasri?
Also you could then have Gervinho and Hazard as wingers and move Theo up front. Fine, I just want us to sign him because of his name...
My apologies guys. You are right, Eden Hazard is a winger. At £26+m he's pretty expensive as a winger but a world class man to come in place of Nasri and dare I say, give us more than 4 months first rate action a year. But Arsene if you're reading this, please hurry up. We really do not have much time to ring in the changes.
