I like Cala Bona. I dived with Albatros DC next to the harbour, we stayed at Pula Suites just up the road. Very nice. Looked at going back in September, but booked Menorca instead.
Just had Large haddock and chips from Brickie Ave chippy after getting back from Paphos this morning. As for toppings I had the regulation curry sauce (cue the distain). Out tonight in Cott to get rat arsed as I've not had a decent pint for a week. Off work tomorrow.
Yeah it's great and can actually sleep on a night There's a lovely cooling breeze on a night. The harbour area is nice.
Drive, walk, talk, walk, talk, walk, talk, walk, drive kind. Too hot, too sweaty. Home now. Nowt planned 'til next week. Sorted.
Yes it's not bad at all. Some nice bars and restaurants plus plenty of shopping opportunities. Historic harbour and a nice prom. Lots of building work going on on but doesn't detract from the place. Give it a go. 47deg yesterday.
The suites are on three levels, big lounge, then showers and a good sized bedroom. The bloke in the next place to us was a German playboy his Dad ran VW in mexico.
Seconded. I like your bog standard Chinese as much as the next man but Yinjibar is a cut above. Portions are huge anarl.
Agree, those tinned mushy peas are total garbage, amazing how many people find them acceptable/don't know the difference though.
Apparently 54 degrees celsius is the hottest temperature recorded on Earth. That said, it hit 50 in Turkey where we were last week, and on the same day there was a 53 recorded somewhere in Iran, so maybe it's possible.
When I first moved to Qatar it hit 60c I was working inside the Qafco factory who have a strict flag system for working. Black means stop work due to heat. ... Now in Jordan (Aqaba) this week daytime has been 0ver 40c all week peaking at 52c Night time still mid 30c Tough gig atm. Humidity is the real beast though. I can only go one what the outside thermometer reads what I have though. I have tested it against other instruments and very similar reading.
