He wanted to come to us, we weren't interested, so he chose to go to United. If the whole Costa affair had gotten sorted and he had left then we might have been interested in him as a replacement.

Xhaka was looking really good towards the end of last season. Remember that was his first season at Arsenal, so it's no a huge surprise that it took him a while to adapt. Wouldn't say no to Carvalho though.

I personally would have had Lukaku if we lost Costa, but go visit the Chelsea board and see what the consensus was on re signing Lukaku.....
Has he even signed yet? Not sure why you'd be so surprised if he come here, it's not like we've prised him out of the clutches of Barcelona, he plays for Everton (with all due respect Tobes).
