I hardly ever get transfer info. Most info I get is players leaving/ wanting to leave/being dick heads and some contract offers.
Guan and K.Billy on TSW have been very quite lately regarding all matters in comings, out goings, new manager, new owners.....
I hope it isn't too quiet! This season looks like the first one in years we will retain all of our top players, if we added quality to that we would stand a chance of being able to make real progress.
Assuming we have no departures, then I agree that they are the priority positions. Perhaps, a wide forward too but that young French chap seems to fit the bill. My hope is that we get top quality AM and DM and if we need to spend big, then we do so. Obviously it's nice to get a bargain such as Mane, but it is not always possible.
Yann Karamoh link seems to have gone quiet. As has the Defrel link. Don't want to get impatient but would be nice to have a few more players in. Also would be good for the club to confirm that we will be playing other games than Brentford for pre-season
We don't need any extra players providing we have a manager who is skilled in developing what we have.
It would be intriguing to see how a manager fairs with the same set of players. Hoijberg & Boufal could be ready to step up in those areas described as weaknesses
Goal-scoring AM. We don't have any midfielders that can shoot straight and I'm not sure any manager can fix them Steve Davis. I love Steve Davis Coolest man on the pitch Get him near the oppositions goal and he goes all Midfielders shooting practice at Staplewood ... (Davo, Jordy, JWP, Dusan) (Frazer) (Mauricio)
I haven't seen him play much, would he have improved our team? Seems he plays a similar role to Boufal in the few games I've seen.
So do I. Lovely twinkle-toes when he's not going to be the shooter. He can provide with the best of them, but shoot.? He's got to be pretty damn close if he's going to score, is all I can say.
Are you serious? I guess it depends on what you want to achieve though. I'm sure we could stay up and get a comfortable mid-table finish without additions. Although if we want to push Everton for 7th and maybe even pressure the top 6 then we of course need to invest in new players.
I think we can forget chasing Everton for 7th place as they have spent nearly £100m on some good players. We need to look at 8th place so we need to be looking at what Leicester, WBA, Wet Spam, Stoke etc are doing. Agree that we need a proper DM to support OR and an attacking central midfielder who can shoot and score goals
Partly serious. But then I see us pushing toward top 4 with current squad rather than focusing on Everton who I suspect this season will be a classic example of 'money can't buy success'
