Bellewstown and Tipperary on the same evening. Does life get much better than this Good luck with Squire lads. Hope he comes back safe and sound.
I wouldn't normally be the biggest fan of backing young Joseph's flock over the sticks but I do think Persistent has decent claims of the landing the last at Btown 5/1.
Seems to lack a turn of foot, came under pressure but looked to be coming into it but didn't have the gear change to go with them
He's always lacked a turn of foot smokey. He isn't a hold up horse. The best scenario is that this was a pipe opener
I couldn't watch tonight but from the commentary he seemed to have no chance from halfway. I await the verdict from stick and Don
The winner dictated a steady pace which wouldn't have helped. Probably caught flat footed when they stepped it up. Hopefully, the combination of needing the run, and a possible drop in the handicap will ensure a lively opportunity next time .
He has run a cracker Ron, he blew long and hard after the race and will come on bundles for this. He settled like a dream for Adam tonight a gap opened up for him in the straight and just for a few seconds you thought he might go through it but the front pair had another half a gear on him as condition told. He looked well tonight but this run will have put him straight. His wind was clear and he will be winning soon off this mark.
Was watching on my phone and this is a fair assesment of what I saw. When he came into the gap I was willing him to burst through, how long do I have to save for my double down £2 e/w on his next outing?
He took an age to get his breath back and was pretty hot. Pleasing in one way be annoying to come 4th again!!!
