So Leicester were better than every team last season because they won it the season before? Or does it not work for that long, does it only work for the summer.... I'm not up to date on how losing teams ascertain their superiority.
Come on man...Spurs finishing second with relative pittance we have in the bank account and zero major trophies in a decade is surely a fantastic achievement? I can fully understand how a United fan would struggle to admit that, but the vast majority of neutral fans I know are full of nought but high praise for what Poch has done. True, we're still a few steps away from competing for the big prizes, but for a club that has had very little to celebrate in the PL era, it isn't remotely surprising that Spurs fans are now giving it Billy Big Bollocks to fans of rival teams whose budgets and fanbase vastly exceed our own. Don't begrudge us our 15 minutes of fame
That approach is/as down to a defence with many weaknesses, injuries, lack of form and lack of confidence. I assume all that to be sorted over summer and by next season we will have solid defence allowing the forwards to be more free flowing.
Relative pittance? You've probably got the highest gross spend per trophy won in England over the last 25 years. Aside from that, ok I find it completely normal that it's exciting for you to be challenging for honours after a drought. It's far from a power shift, so far it looks to me like Newcastle circa 1995 but when you win something (and I think you will soon) you'll probably be in a better place to humble your opposition.
I'm still not convinced that your target is Lukaku, there's a whiff of manipulation around the whole thing
Exactly what I was saying at work, clever if it works out and makes the Lukaku to Chelsea and Morata to Man United get fast tracked and if that fails Man United get Lukaku
Jim somehow has the ear of Moshiri, which is why he broke the Rooney story on Monday. The Lukaku 'accepted bid' appears to have conflicting angles from both clubs, as there's no doubt United have fed this to the press.
