I'm not making excuses for anyone. A crime is a crime, and should be dealt with as such, by full force of law. I have faith in the UK justice system by and large - and some first hand experience of it. The EDL are not a threat on anything like the scale of Isis, because they are a leaderless ill organised rabble. So were the nazis, until Hitler got hold of them. I doubt the EDL will ever amount to much though, because marching about in jackboots is not really the English way - our disaffected youth prefer getting pissed and smashing up bus shelters tbf.
