I would say Lukaku covers the loss of Zlatan and that Rashford & Martial have to step up as strikers. Rooney going is adequately covered by the presence of Lingard, Mata and Mhkytarian.

We do need that DCM now, it's all gone quiet on the Matic front for instance.

You're more confident than me then, losing Rooney and Ibra is two players no matter how you look at it and our squad needs to not get smaller.

I am really glad that we have not caved in to the ****ing scumbags of Madrid. Can you imagine: trying to squeeze a couple of millions from an offer of £60m - sorry £65m!?

Lukaku will at least improve our goal difference, fingers crossed. ;)

This is important for me, the fact that RM have been told to ram it.

We play them on the 23rd over in the US and they'll have 10% of the crowd again, perfect game for Marouane to shake the dust off his elbows.

You are just getting rid of the dead wood and will do fine - you are after Perinic to play in the left freeing Rashford and Martial to concentrate on being strikers.

You also have loads of players that can play #10 so are fine there as well.

Your spine could be the hardest ever seen in this league with Matic, Fellani, Pogba and Lukaku...

Apparently it all depends on Babayako signing for the Chavs. Just wondered: why don't we go for him in the first place?

You have been told by Chelsea that nothing with happen until they sign Bakayoko - given how your transfer window is going, I am expecting him to sign for you...

You make some good points mate, but until the shopping is complete I've got my concerns.

Zlatan doesn't represent 'dead wood' to me, the bloke scored 26 goals or something before he got injured. Rooney perhaps represents dead wood, but he's also an important player in the dressing room, a winner, losing them is never a good thing and we're losing two, thank fook Carrick's staying on.

I've said before that I think Zlatan will stick around to get fit and when he is fit even get a contract to the end of the season.

I hope he does, he's vital to have around training. I agree with Rooney being similar but I think we can take his loss on the chin, other players will step up into his position.
Zlatan was a huge loss though and Lukaku can hopefully fill that role.

I don't see two out, one in being massively detrimental to the squad on the whole. I actually think bringing in another striker and sidelining Rashford and Martial as a result would be worse.

Zlatan is injured and not officially part of your squad right now you have to consider him as dead wood as you need to fill the space he has left.

Lukaku was my first choice to replace him - I can see Zlatan re signing as you should be fighting it out in 4 competitions in Jan.

It all depends how we set up for me, Mourinho didn't find a good system last season or a consistent 11. He has to get that sorted over the next few weeks.

The more I think about the Lukaku deal the more it makes sense, we struggled against the teams that he scores against for fun. Maybe he's not the big game player we would all like, but that's got to be the team and JM's responsibility to change that and get it out of him.

That's if he signs of course, if he doesn't he's ****.

Lukaku is one of those players who will punish any defence that shows him any weakness. So he should keep scoring once he's got that first goal. So fewer 1-0 and 1-1. Fingers crossed.

Mourinho doesn't know how to operate out of his comfort zone. Will gravitate towards players he has worked with before, finds it hard to fully trust youngsters climbing the ranks, and sticks to the same rigid tactics week in week out.
What he does have is the arrogance and determination to win through sheer force of will. SAF was the same in that regard.

Last season he signed 3 players that he'd never worked with, including a 22 year old defender and a 23 year old central midfielder, adapted his tactics to put on a dominating display to beat Chelsea. After Ibra's injury he made Rashford his striker when he had Rooney available. Completely transformed Ander Herrera's game and made him probably our most important player, despite him always wanting powerhouse-type players in that role, and he's probably gonna hand him the captain's armband.

"Yeah but in general".... ok mate. <ok>

What the **** is the ongoing love-in between you lot and the BS? <doh> Rooney to you and then back to them. Lukaku to you.
