    Which countries press pubished it.

Le equipe would say that wouldn't they.

If marca said it you would wonder at what politics led real to ask them to publish.

Keep up the brave face about swapping Lukaku for Rooney

At least Lukaku had a couple of games a season he'd play well

What's "Man Utd's retirement home" in latin?

    Flanno ready to impress Klopp
Jon Flanagan is back at Melwood and raring to go after a spell on loan at Burnley.
Flanno wants to impress Jurgen Klopp in pre-season after returning from a frustrating year with the Clarets
Ings not ready to rush return
Another man looking to impress Jurgen Klopp in pre-season is Danny Ings.
The striker has had a terrible time with injury in the past two years, so he is not putting any timeframe on his return.
“I’m doing really well at the moment,” Ings told Liverpoolfc.com

    Swap.

Why not. More money than Klopp could wish to ever have to spend and Rooney back.

Everton have made a couple good signings. Rooney however I don't see the benefits. Clearly past it for some time now and must still want a big wage

This is the move that lukaku badly needs. He scores goals but tends to go missing in the big games. Very big platform to change that now.

in the lunatic world of modern transfer fees £75m seems reasonably cheap.

i'm now off for a lie down until the blood returns to my head

Liverpool face a fight to keep hold of Philippe Coutinho after Paris Saint-Germain made the Brazilian their preferred target should they fail in their pursuit of Kylian Mbappe, according to reports in France.

Micky Quinn claims Liverpool have made £50m bid for Naby Keita
Micky Quinn has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 6th July, that he has been informed that Liverpool have made a £50 million offer for Naby Keita of Red Bull Leipzig.
Keita is considered to be one of Jurgen Klopp’s top targets this summer, with the midfielder catching the eye in the Bundesliga last term.
Keita was one of Leipzig’s stars, with his pace and power from midfield attracting attention.

Leipzig are desperate to keep hold of Keita this summer, but Liverpool are said to be prepared to break their transfer record to bring the Guinean international to Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp is keen to strengthen his midfield options, with Keita one of his top targets.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Leipzig want £70 million for Keita[/a], so Liverpool’s current offer would fall well short of that valuation.
Liverpool would break their transfer record, if they were to snap up Naby Keita from Red Bull Leipzig.

I'm sure that the increase in wage bill from the players we signed is not a problem. But the increase to match Rooneys current deal at United would be silly, no matter what increase in commercial exposure he brings. As the club had put a £100m pricetag on Lukaku then I would guess the Rooney deal is a loan or free transfer with a big payout/subsidised wages

Not convinced on Naby Keita at all. £60m-70m is a hell of a lot of money. I remember when United were berated for spending on £89m on Pogba because he wasn't a player who can win you games single handedly. I know this is a lower fee but realistically it's still high enough for that argument to be used.

I'm sure there are other midfielders out there available for half the price. I know I might get stick for this but I think the fee involved is utter madness.

I think most of the fees going are utter madness.

Until a few years ago you saw inflation but mostly fees were in relation to ability and the rise in price each year, whereas sharp, was somewhat predictable.

Pogba started a trend of absurd money for mediocre players. This isn't "player inflation" the costs for players doubled in a summer. All the transfers are absurd and the price seems unrelated to quality of player.

Dont think anyone disagrees but when you see players like Maguire go for £17m, Keane for £30m and Deeney being linked for £20m then does make you wonder. Would you rather have Maguire, Deeney & keane for £67m or a real top quality player for £70m?

I don't think we will pay £70m for Keita, it will be maybe £55m with add ons or something like that.

Sigurdsson is being spoken about as a £40m player. Good player but........................
