    They will go after currently trading companies that operated them and also after assets held in liquidation by defunct companies that operated them.

    New legislation comes into play in 2019 that will allow HMRC to retrospectively go after employees that benefited from them. No kiddin. Any employee who benefitted from an EBT will be required to pay tax on the outstanding amount of the "loan" they received.
