Well its a shame he has left because I'm sure he would have got regular game time for us plus it looks like we are going to have to get two left backs now. For him if he's going to be on the reported £7000 a week in the reserves then he's suddenly become a lot richer and covered himself for any serious Injury. Sad for us when all the hard work to bring him on over the years but who knows what's gone on.
So let's get this right. Tymon is a very promising prospect. Enob believes he will one day play for England. This season he would be a fully fledged first team squad player (either a starter or else a needed back up). He's now gone, so we will likely have to spend good money on a replacement, and pay a very decent salary in order to attract someone else who's good enough to make the squad for our promised promotion push. Now please explain to me how on Earth that makes business sense (and that's before consideration of the fact that he should have been one of those 'he's one of our own", a positive example for our academy, etc). Why the hell didn't Enob improve the offer to sufficient for him to stay? Word is he wasn't after a ridiculous (in this mad football world) amount. Penny wise, pound mad?
It's not done like that any more, both clubs make representations to the panel on how much they think he's worth, they take into account first team appearances, international appearances, the status of the club he's signing for, the wages he's signing on at, all sorts of things.
As I said, I don't think either party is blameless. Despite what his best friends on here who he tells everything to say, Josh clearly didn't want to sign here.
I thought that was the old system then they brought in this new EPPP stuff a year or two back to streamline youth signings and give the premiership clubs an even bigger advantage? I also believe the FA/FL strongly disagreed with it but the PL forced it down their throats by threatening to withdraw all their funding.
PFCC hearings require each club to provide evidence to support their valuation of the player in question. In making its judgment the committee will take into account the costs of both clubs in operating a Football Academy or Centre of Excellence, as well as the age and playing record of the player, the length of time he was registered with his original club, the terms offered by both clubs, the status of the two clubs, the substantiated interest shown by other clubs in acquiring the registration of the player and any amounts paid by the original club to acquire the player in the first place. - Last updated Nov 2016
The PFCC is for player on professional contracts, Josh isn't. He goes under the EPPP as he's a scholar.
He wouldn't sign it you dumb ****. Take away the Allam blindness some of you thick ****s. He would not sign it. As the ****ing agent got in his head 18 months ago with promises of massive deals to Man U and Liverpool. They wouldn't pay so his fall back. Was Stoke. The only winner here is Paul ****ing Stretford. Terrible move for Josh. They have no history of bringing through youth. They buy ready made replacements and have for years.
Ultimately, I can’t help but feel an agent/player has exploited a situation here for more money – like a lot of players do across the game. I think the Allams are intransigent and I think this has been used to play the fans in order to excuse a move for money/bigger club. The wording in the Stoke Sentinel recently were revealing ‘offered a contract in December but made it clear that he didn’t want to stay at the club’. In my opinion at this time (and I’m open to change with more proof) Tymon should get the same reaction as any other returning player who has left for bigger club/money reasons. Possibly even worse if he’s supposed to be a Hull City fan too.
I read their fans making the exactly same point a few weeks ago when it was mentioned signing Tymon and some other kid
Both parties are equally at fault. Josh didn't want to play here, he's had multiple pro deals on the table and turned them down. He's swapped regular first team football for reserve team football and more money, that's his choice but I don't think it reflects well on him. Ehab's obviously also to blame, he should have done everything in his power to convince Josh to stay, he's now going to have to sign a player on more money to replace him so it's not really worked out well for anyone involved.
... actually, it's much worse than that as the club has lost the likely prospect of having an 'asset' that would likely be worth several million in the future. Enob, stubborn, pigheaded, and quite simply too dumb to be trusted to run a business or a football club.
**** off. And don't talk stupid. It wouldn't have taken much for him to stay. But as we see time and again, Enob, like his father, is too pigheaded and stubborn (and in Enob's case, actually not that bright - fact).
Ditto 5 year contract for Stoke reserves- shame on his agent as well. Bruce and Phelan did say some players were being poorly advised. I guess this is exhibit A. No doubt we've made a dogs dinner of it too.
Our owners are ****ers and therein lies the problem. Agents operate all over the football world. What makes us different to any other club? I'll leave you to figure that out.
I know he over celebrated a goal or two, but remember the abuse Fraizer Campbell gets/got for wanting more money/ a bigger club - and he has no links at all to the place. Snodgrass too - loads of greedy bastard chants when he played.
