He's a very decent attacking player and quite underrated and under appreciated. Personally I hope we keep him.
I rate Giroud. He isn't going to be a world class, 25 goals a season guy, but he is definitely a player that can give you options from the bench. I'd take him as a back up striker at Chelsea. When Arsenal have given him a run, he has spells where he does well. A little inconsistent maybe, but some players are better off the bench imo. Like Tore Andre Flo when he was at Chelsea or Solskjaer at United.
Not sure an imaginary footballer can injure someones knee... Wait you didn't actually think they'd signed someone by that name did you?
Good player. Knocking on a bit. But should provide your defence with some cover next season. Good deal at £12m
Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney, 31, has been withdrawn from the club's tour of the US and will complete a free transfer by the end of the week back to Everton, who are also looking to sign Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, 30, for £20m. (Sun) Blimey! Has Giroud issued a "come and get me" plea to Everton? Actually, I can see him and Rooney doing good things together, at Everton. Exciting times for the Toffees!
Tottenham are looking at signing Alfie Mawson, 23, from Swansea or fellow defender Ben Gibson, 24, from Middlesbrough as they want to sell 24-year-old centre-back Kevin Wimmer for £20m. (Daily Mirror) I like the fact that we're avoiding going after the big names.
That's a cynical comment, Tel. I think Poch revels in the idea of being able to take players that no other coach could manage, and turning them into Internationals. It's what makes him the World's best manager.
