See the Shrews are pretty happy to be rid of El Abd. General comments about his pace and lack of commitment. Perhaps he will shine in League 2, where there is certainly a difference in standard (here's hoping!)
When was the last time he made the first team? Looks like a reject of a team that finished 18th in League 1. Doesn't appear to be in the current Egypt squad. Won't pretend to be thrilled with this signing. Hardly seems a replacement for Pierre. How many Pierre "back-ups" do we have?

I used to play inside left or inside right (sometime centre forward). I think that would be an attacking mid fielder these days Rocky. Mind you, I'd probably end up inside out if I had to play for 90 mins. I'll come on as sub for the last 15mins and grab a couple of goals
HOWARD WATCH OUT!!! Talking to a work colleague of mine who is a Brighton fan and an ex Brighton reserve player from many years ago. El Abd apparently left under somewhat of a cloud due to his "relations" with the chairmans wife. Lock up your daughters fellas!
No nonsense experienced centre back seems ideal on paper. I'm sure our style of play won't exert him too much.
