"20 more scored, 20 less conceded"

I don't make many predictions, because I'm really bad at it, but I made this one before the season started and I'm sticking with it. :emoticon-0148-yes:

1200 Addicks out of a crowd of 5100 - brilliant!

Tewkes- we dominated the crowd. From kick off we were on top as a crowd. People hate the "cafc" chant, bit ot was simple and efdective

It amazes me sometimes, SC - Colchester are a well organised side, they've started the season like a train, yet under 4000 fans can be bothered to turn out for a home game - don't get it.

I'm stuck at Peckham station- waiting for a cab but I'm high as a kite, been to cafc when we were in the prem, but this feels good.

It took a blinkin' hour to get out of the car-park!

Another great win. Dogged and determined with some periods of lovely football. But what impresses me is the willingness to fight for everything. This side can play and get stuck in by equal measure, which is key in this league.

I thought Stephens looked a little jaded tonight. But he will be back to form on Saturday, I'm sure.
Solly was my man of the match - he is getting better and better. His jockeying down the line is excellent.
Wiggins is finding his feet and obviously flourishing under the mentorship of Powell.
BWP's work rate was very impressive and his partnership with Hayes is going to go from strength to strength.
The two centre-backs were rock solid - again!
I thought Colchester played some nice football and I am sure they will start to win games soon.

    Overall, very pleased.

Did anyone notice the half-time dancing girls getting soaked by the sprinklers? And their mascot pushed over our guy running in the hamster ball! Booooo!

Ponders- good to see you back. But Stephens we will disagree. K thought he abandoned his creative play and got stuck in.

Solly- I'll agree, MOM. Solid at the back and creative going forward. Also first tome scotty looked dangerous. Green won't start next game either.

BWP could have again finished it but went alone. Didn't score but the two chances he took- he took like a pro. He is gonna get us out of this leaguer.

Hayes- was amazing. The ball was stuck to his feet.

Defence- played high up, scares me, but again it's worked. Morro can bring it out of defence and play the pass. Taylor is no nonsense1 comes near him and bang- in the stand. I've seen us in prem/championship/league one.. We've never looks so assured

Thanks, SuperC. I hope you are back safe and sound.

I agree that young Dale got stuck in. Perhaps the middle of the park was too frenetic for any of the silky stuff? It looked like it from behind the goal - a position I hate!

I think the high defensive line was due to Colly playing the one big man up front. When Gillespie came on we seemed to drop back and they again applied a fair bit of pressure. But it was weathered and it did work, as you say. The old adage applies to this defence - IF IN DOUBT, WHACK IT OUT!

    Great stuff. COYR!

I thought the euphoria would have lessened overnight, Mike but I'm absolutely bouncing around this morning - I've got a hideously boring day at work coming up, but I don't care!

Great win at a ground where we rarely do anything. It sounds as if the team are on fire at the moment, and the crowd have a buzz about them that's been desperately lacking for years. Back to work tomorrow, but with a smile for once.

    The reds are going up!

Don't want to get carried away, but this team mean business. Flair and fight- never seen this from a cafc side.

Can I be the first to say this...Powell is the new Curbs.

On the radio last night Bradley Allen was drawing comparisons with Curbs' best teams and this one. I think I need a lie down.
