Lol... not the cross trainer mate, haha.

I mean the circuit training with weights and bodyweight, just wondering if anybody has seen any good results from it. Few years ago it took off over here (I think a yank invented it) but seems to have gone missing lately.

No, I know the guy who invented it and he is a first class bell end.
It is a wholly inappropriate method of maintaining fitness and will have negative consequences for people in future.
There has already been so many injuries caused by that ****ed up abomination.
It pushes people far too hard who are not ready for it.
Plus hardly any of the cross fit trainers have the proper qualifications to teach such classes, its a **** show.
I have been trying to convince my firm to pull our investment of it for months.

    Lol

You would imagine circuit training works due to what it is? Brilliant way of shedding if you have the motivation, no?

I used to know this guy, never saw him at the gym, he didn't have a job...i saw him for over a decade walking around, one of them people who walk a lot. He had a rucksack full of weights and all he did was walk. ****er looked hench and torn.

That's my take on it. Not that anybody is being forced to lift weights that they can't physically lift, but if you create a competitive environment such as a circuit where a girl will perhaps be shoulder pressing 50kg, then show me a man who will be humble enough to stand next to her and shoulder press 30kg.

It's for intermediates and above imo, but I think there's still a lot of things that beginners could do, the bodyweight stuff, the tyre flips, the battle ropes etc, but it needs a lot more attention to get it there.

They're kids from the local high school. Luis, the bald guy, is trying to make sure they don't cripple 'emselves on their first visit. <laugh>

I still maintain the best way to stay (get) fit is to do something you just enjoy doing. Walking, running, swimming, cycling, surfing, DIY, gardening.... whatever really.

I've used gyms in the past but I find it as boring as ****. Suppose some blokes are into it though ....

In general circuits are very good workouts mate for sure, but this is a specific kind of circuit.

You do what works best for you, the military are often sent out on 'tabs' with weighted bergens full of kit, as a fitness exercise because it works great, especially for the core.

I haven't been making much progress atm!

Lose a bit, gain a bit.

    Hovering between 11st 12lb and 12 st 1lb.

    Not a bad weight, mind. I'm 6ft.

Walked the dog for 8 miles last night.

I had a mate years ago who was ex SAS. He didn't shout about it and only his friends knew what he used to do.

His 'cure' for a hangover was to put a 25kg pack on his back and run 10-15 miles.

I have a McDonalds and an Irn Bru, usually does the trick <laugh>

I've never been a fan of running, but I'll do it when I absolutely have to.

Double sausage and Egg Muffin (coincidentally, the only edible thing on their menu) and a Cherry Relentless for me.

    No cure for me.

Other than not drinking over 3 pints!

I don't drink too much anymore primarily because I cannot bear the hangover.

Also because its savage when you're trying to look after yourself - lager that is and that's pretty much all i drink.

I can't have them energy drinks and probably wouldn't if I could, but the double sausage and egg mcmuffin is the food of kings, when I'm hungover!

    McDonald's Hash browns are great

I usually sprinkle 1 sachet of salt and 2 of pepper on the top
