Its ****. But who will buy one? One fella exchanging 30 in the shop today. He agreed it looks ****, but still had 3. How many more" Not me.
I know I'm one of the few, but I really like it. Once you see the full kit on, it looks really neat and tidy. No, I haven't been standing with full kit on in front of a mirror pretending I'm a Sunderland player. I've seen somebody's son with it on the other day and I was really impressed.
The back though? With that huge block of red? Looks fine from the front to me, I don't mind the skinny stripes although it wouldn't be my choice. Shorts and socks look sound from memory.
It's just different but once you get used to it, it's alright. Shorts and socks are sound. Looks nice put together.
Come to terms with the stripes but the crest looks like they were bought from a trophy/key cutter/shoe repair booth and sewn on at Quickstitch. It's shabby imo.
Only bought 1 football strip in 25 years......and that was to play 5 a side in. Inter Milan. Didnt even buy any to go to matches, dont really like them generally.
Here's a picture of my Adam with his new best friend We got our new strips on sunday, but I haven't had mine on yet
That's the answer send the players out with a dog - seriously, after initial embarrassment and disgust it is starting to look better and may be looked on with envy if we have a winning season - a collectors item - but only if we are a success. It doesn't look too bad in the Sunderland club shop
It does which is why we need to be a success this season or we could be heading for the GM /Beazer levels - luckily we are used to these mess ups
