According to newsnow Rovers are giving a weeks trial to a 20 year old French GK Alexis Andre Jnr starting tomorrow
I think it is somewhat worrying that 5 days before our first match we don't have a GK I know we have a trialist but I was hoping for some one more senior and permanent. If the trialist plays will he only play 45 mins with the young U23 s keeper playing 45mins, if the present squad is not added to I think we could be in for a long season. Steve Hamer said in one of his earlier interviews the same one as he suggested that they would like DC to sign a new contract that the supporters would be surprised at some of the players they were talking to as only one has signed does that mean the rest have turned us down or they haven't made up their minds yet
Its nothing to worry about - don't forget, Sanchez and Ronaldo have been tied up in Russia with The Confederations Cup, so they can't be expected to make a decision until this week sometime, now they're back. Don't worry, we will hear something soon!
We still got Mildenhall mind. Yes he aint registered as a player but he would still be allowed to play in friendlies. On Saturday we have 2 games so will need to Keepers. Mildenhall can play. We still got Hodges who was on the bench a few times last season. And we have this trialist too. We got enough keepers ready for Saturday, so everyone relax
Competition between some of the best players around the world. And the goalkeeper is Alexis Andre Jr. He doesnt do that bad at all!!
So DC says there are 14 trialist at the club at the moment all for the under 21 side. 4 of theses are keepers. He also said he will make 7 or 8 signings for the 1st team and will have enough budget left to bring in faces in January. He added he will sign 4 keepers overall, 2 for the under 21 team and 2 for the 1st team.
Tom Parkes is back in the football league. He has left the sinking ship that is Leyton Orient and is now a Carlisle playler!
I was impressed that he was looking for 4 keepers 2 at each main level he doesn't seem to bothered by the playing situation and his job could be on the line if it goes wrong so I guess everything in the garden is rosy
Always liked Tom Parkes, thought he always did well for us in the games that I saw him play, good luck to him.
He's only 25 and has a lot of games under his belt now. And he had plenty of good games for us. Best wishes to him.
Rovers Sign Goalkeepers Adam Smith and Sam Slocombe Rovers’ manager Darrell Clarke today signed not one, but two goalkeepers, bringing Sam Slocombe and Adam Smith to the club.
