Loved SF, flew into there and did the whole West Coast down to San Diego. Some ****ing journey if you keep to the coastal route.

I've driven that PCH a few times. I've got friends who live in Ojai near Ventura. But some of my favourite places are around Big Sur. Place called Carmel-by-sea is my personal Nivana <ok>

6 times i've been to LA with work and find some new stuff to do each time on my days off.

My fave area is Venice and Marina Del Rey as its a straight 10k run down the coast to the end of Santa Monica Pier and back.

Some mighty fine pieces of Cali ass and titties on the beach too.

I love LA. Lots of people don't like it, and Hollywood is a tourist trap. I tend to hang out around Palos Verdes as it's a bit quieter and the surf isn't as crowded. Got a friend who runs a surf shop in El Segundo, which is south of the Airport. Fairly industrial area but it's a hoot. I also spend a fair bit of time down south in San Clemente and San Onofre. But my very favourite place in CA is Yosemite national park. The first time I went there my jaw was literally on the floor !

I know that drive on the I-5 very well. I flew into Vegas once, then drove through Death Valley onto the 395 up to Yosemite. Sketchy as **** in Death Valley. I was there in 2012 when they had a record temp of something like 125 deg. You do not want to break down on those desert roads in that temp.

<laugh> Yes they do. Also for firewood etc. If you go anywhere near Yosemite they insist that you only use firewood that's grown locally as they don't want any invasive bugs or critters getting into the park.
