Koeman is like a kid in a candy shop making all the right choices. They are going to do well next season.
How many players have they signed so far Brixham? That is chickenfeed compared to their near neighbours at the other end of the East Lancashire Road.
By making inroads or actually getting closer to the CL places? Maybe he has an eye on one of the cups, which would also justfify the outlay so far. As we know, you need a big squad to compete in Europe. Given a favourable draw, Everton should be capable of qualifying for the last 32, and unless a mega team drops out of the CL, ought to get to the last 16 and possibly further.
Yep, no excuse for going out of europe early this time. I think Rom n Ross are going, but looking at who he's added, they can deal with that.
Don't think they'll miss Barkley that much but I think they'll really struggle without Lukaku. Not only is it almost impossible to replace a 25 goals a season but he is much more than that. His presence as a target man helped bring others into place and they will miss that too. Not that he has been sold yet, but it looks likely.
Everton after Rooney, Giroud and Higuain aswell apparently, if any of them happen then Lukaku is 100% off
Really depends if they lose Lukaku and Barkley. If both go any of the players they have bought in so far haven't been like for like replacements in term's of quality.
Those fee's are about right, when you adjust the young english % of the price. I think they have done well. I'm at ease with Everton now anyway, Koeman served us well*, now lets see what he can do there with an open cheque book. Its the other side of the river where my dislike boils.
Where you find Tranmere!! I think you mean the other side of Stanley Park, or maybe you do dislike Rovers for knocking us out of the FA Cup 4-3 after being 3 goals up!!!
Keep Lukaku. Sell Barkley and replace him with Sigurdsson. Sign another top defender, possibly at LB. I'm not saying it will be easy, but achieve that and Everton should be looking to challenge the top four - they shouldn't even think about the other 13 of us in the league. It will still be tough to ultimately finish in the top four of course; there are six other contenders (at least three of whom will surely spend over £100m this summer). But it doesn't mean that they can't challenge. Things looking very good on the blue side of Merseyside.
I just can't see who would be interested in Barkley to give them a big fee for him, especially with only a year left. He isn't good enough for a team like Everton, let alone a step up like he is apparently holding out for. West Ham is about the only team I can see who may throw enough money at Everton, but not sure he would be overly interested.
