Your big problem mate is that little if any of that is going back into the team.

Call me a synic, but i said when Hughton went and Pardew ws brought in that Ashley was bringing in a 'yes man' manager.

I also said when the Ben Arfa deal was done that Ashley could double his £5.5million if Arfa comes back and has a good run of form.

I'm not saying this is fact, and i'm not saying this is what's gonna happen, but that man Ashley doesn't give a **** about the club or it's traditions, he will asset strip as far as he can before he bails out.

    It's a real mess.

I know he probably wont invest all of it but he isnt that stupid and knows we at the very least have to replace him. Sorry if I appear childish but hand on heart I wouldnt put Muntari or Sessegnon in our midfield, and be honest, have you ever seen Sessegnon play (or Muntari since he joined Inter)?

Finish in the top 6 then call yourself a top 6 club, you're worse than Spurs fans who think they are cemented in the top 4.

Do you believe the bid was turned down?

Conspiracy theory here, i'd suggest the clubs have played a bit of a game here, i find it hard to believe that Liverpool on the spur of the moment decided to shell £35million on a striker, who was miraculously back in training as the transfer window wound down.

Added to that, he decided within a few hours to leave his home town and 'beloved' club.

Doubtful in my opinion, media spin for me.

If it turns out AC wanted to stay and Ashley told the media that Carroll handed in a transfer request when he didn't. I will kill Mike Ashley

all this talk about whether newcastle will reinvest the money is waste of time as we dont know the financial details of the deal. Just like bents deal newcastle might only receive a small amount up front cos i cant see liverpool paying the full amount straight away and i wouldnt be surprised that ashley keeps the money to pay off the personal loans he gave the club last season to keep the club afloat. sky are linking you lot with bolton's elmander whether that will happen in the short time left is debatable

You must see my point though, surely he didn't just think 'yeah, i'll go' just like that.

    This has been brewing.

It's not as if he's making a jump up is it, delapidated old ground and an ageing defence, it's an extraordinary turn of events.

It's tyhe North-East, it's a nothing place, no one wants to be here (apart from stepping stop players).... Newcastle have proved in the last 20 years the only way you get quality players to come here is to offer them stupid money. Sessengnon maybe be great but like Ben Arfa, we are both just stepping stone clubs for them. Enjoy the ride Geordies and Mackems, we know it's always fun!!!

funny how both our clubs have mirrored one another in the past weeks.looking for some conspiracy when one isn't there is a bit pointless really two people to blame for Carroll leaving and that's the man himself and his agent (prob the main reason filling his head with **** and £ signs)

thought you had a bit more sense to believe that crap i mean did you believe some of the **** that was flying around when bent went ....was it your chairmans fault...your managers no as much as it would amuse me and others to think this i'm afraid it was down to the fact that bent was a greedy bastard simple as that and that i'm afraid is the same case for Carroll
was probably his agent touting him (as they do) and nothing to do with the club

there is no loyalty in football (hasn't been for ages) why i hate this chest beating badge kissing bollocks

Not too sure about that 5 goals, £35m buys a hell of a lot of pies!

I think that's too simplistic and not fair on the Region mate. The worrying thing for your lot though is that Carroll was a 100% paid up member of the I love Newcastle club. if you cant hold on to one of your own it has to be a concern.

Bent was a Southern player and the fact he want to go back further south is his decision. Its been touted that Carroll is being offered 80k per week. For that, most footballers would live in a filthy pig sty kidda. Its a question of what you are prepared to pay a player not his location. Man City's array of mercenaries aren't in the NW for the scenery. They are there because they pay stupid money.

You won't hear me argue with that.

Does an extra £40k a week even matter when your already getting £40k.

I bet the ****ers don't even check to see if there wages have gone in at the end of the month!

Money talks, simple as, he is a horrible bastard and your well shot of him. He will get banged up in the next 12 months for something anyway, your well shot of him as long as fatty spends the cash on players. Will be Pardew spending it though if he does so good luck.

just look at that numpty we just signed (Ireland) as an example of more money than sense and how he spent 30k to totally bollox a bentley

please log in to view this image

his other efforts also prove that they get so much money they haven't a clue what to do with it but ruin cars

if i remember rightly the car in the picture was so bad even bentley refused to recognise it as one of theirs
