Whys that? he is still an ok player, he might want to play, wasn't Everton his first club and who he supported? and he's getting dicked around by Man U. I don't find it suprising at all.
Knock me down with a kipper...I thought he was off to Newcastle weeks ago. Maybe he likes West London too much...All those fancy cafes and bohemian, arty-farty types, enough to turn anyone's head. Sounds as if Fulham are keen to keep their A-listers
Note to City: This is how you implement contract extensions. You involve the player and reach an agreement so both player and club are happy.
I'd say anything happening in the next 48 hours is imminent, otherwise it's not. Kind of the definition of the word. Otherwise I guess our first signing is imminent.
Nothing surprises me on this board. Least of all 2 people arguing about being surprised or not being surprised.
I was going to delete the word imminent as I knew you'd say that. I left it in there as you were the only person to use it. Surely any signing which will be made this summer can be classed as soon?
If everything is soon how do you distinguish something happening tomorrow from something happening in a month?
Huge wages, and he isn't the player he was. Sandro and others are the way to go for Everton, not looking to the past.
Jesus wept, does it matter? It looks like Rooney will be an Everton player next season,, will it be this week, will it be next week, will it be six weeks, does anyone give a ****?
Because the reason for my first response was that I was surprised if it was happening in the next few days given that would be a pretty bloody quick U-turn from talk he was looking to trigger another year with United. If it's likely to happen but still some way off that makes more sense. Hardly rocket science mate.
So you'd be surprised if it happened in a coupe of days but you wouldn't be surprised if it happened in two weeks?
