You know it's funny because you're clearly old then if you remember all that but your knowledge makes you sound like you're significantly younger. I smell bullshit!

Walsh wanted to move closer to family and there was nothing left for him to achieve at Leicester, he had set up the recruitment team and put all the processes in place. The most important thing is what he did in terms of setting up the data analyst teams etc and that's all still in place. That's more important than the man himself and again that's also a fact because it's clear that we're still approaching our recruitment in the same way.

As for Slimani, that was Walsh's signing irrespective of when he joined. We had been interested in him for two years so yeah he was 100% a Walsh signing.

I'm not including him though because his stats don't speak anywhere near the truth. He was involved in a goal every 116 minutes and scored seven in 1281 minutes, mostly from the bench and pretty much when he started he scored. Problem was he was injured all season having arrived with a groin problem which hampered him all season and when he came on he was in the supporting role not his usual role of a no.9. He still made Keane look like a schoolboy and scored against you though when he was played as a no.9.

So now you've posted a link to the Crystal Palace website <laugh>

Guess what Bruce, home clubs don't sell tickets for the away fans on their own site you knob rash.

We sold out every home game last season, aside from the away sections not always being full, like when your parcochial club rocked up.

    Clueless

What now? I'm in mobile so can't see what you are on about. Surely you must be wrong, unless it was times when games were not important and the demand from these amazing fans weren't fussed

The fact that you need to title drop in a discussion about Maguire makes me question everything.

A 41 year old who lives in Aus and has been over there for an unspecified time, claiming he's been to over 1000 Leicester games smells like complete horse **** to me.

    You're a Walter Mitty character

You lot are really thick. For 20 years I went to about 35 games a season, I even had my own pen in the kop for several years during the 80's when away fans were in Pen 1 and home fans in Pen 3, I was in Pen 2 by myself. That would have been from about 1984-92, before that I sat upstairs in the Double Decker.

So that's every home game and about 10 away so that was 700 by the time I was 24. Though I know I missed three home games, two against Chelsea and one against West Ham just because it was too dangerous for me to go. It's been 17 years since then with only 250 games to go to in that time, averaging just 14 a season and I've done that easily. Even since moving here I've been back to England, it's not like I've come here and not been home.

As I've already said on this thread, I came back for the title win and went to the Swansea, United, Everton and Chelsea games and flew out from London on the Monday. I came back at Christmas the other year and went to Spurs, Newcastle and Villa at home and Liverpool and Hull away. In 2012 I came back for six months and went to every game except the first game of the season at home to Peterborough because I was off my head and still on it so couldn't be fooked. I went to every game in League One. I've easily been to the 950 games I claim to have been to.

Well you use ridiculous logic based on games he played when he was younger and clearly not as good. I can do exaclty the same with Keane having seen him play 22 times for us and still seeing his weaknesses now.

    Found this on ESPN

"Only Leicester's Islam Slimani has dominated Keane in the air so far this season, however, and his concentration levels have also come on leaps and bounds. Whereas previously his huge quality occasionally led to him cruising through games and switching off at times, Keane is now able to remain fully focused for a full game."

According to this it was just Slimani then so maybe he has improved, he was just crap against us so I'll use your logic and judge him on that game. Proves what I was saying though doesn't it about Slimani making him look like a schoolboy. Maybe you wouldn't listen to me and you'll probably think I doctored that too because you're so sad and pathetic but it's there in black and white written by an independent journalist so suck on that!

You also blindly refuse to accept that Maguire outperformed Keane in almost every area and the areas you think are more important, ie blocks and clearances, is purely subjective because interceptions and tackles are equally important. I don't know how anyone could possibly determine which are more important? Please explain that.

You also blindly refuse to accept the fact that Maguire had a rating of 7.2 from starting, which was higher than Keane's.

I think Keane is a good defender and I've said it multiple times, he just isn't better than Maguire and not worth double the money.

Must be tough to remember though being so long ago? I mean 20 years since you won anything or even came close is pretty embarrassing for a so-called "big club".

I've seen us win two play-off finals, two League Cups, the old Divison 2, League One, the Championship and the PL and I support a poxy provincial club.

TBF Everton have never had the chance to win play-off finals or Division 2 or League One because they have never been down there.

The bold bit says it all.
Rating of 7.2 (when starting), wow I can't wait to watch him next season. Who did the ratings?

No they haven't but they've had plenty of chances to win the PL and FAC but failed.

We've been out of the PL for a decade and been in League One but have still won more "major trophies" than they have in the last 20 years.

He had 7.15 for defender centre and 7.28 for defender right but his total was brought down to 7.07 because of sub appearances which were 6.5 and everyone knows it's pretty much impossible for a sub to get higher than a 7.

So his "fair and actual" rating is 7.2 which is better than Keane's 7.13 and Gibson's 6.94 but they're both better? Hmmm I don't think so!
