Well as a whole it's a vastly inferior league to the PL, and the Bundesliga, and Serie A. But that wasn't the question.....
So this one is done, Gooners going to be happy to a point but there needs to be more coming in and hey why not sell one or two?
Our hope is that we also sign either Lemar or Mahrez and possibly a CM. we've already signed a LB/CB/DM in Kolasniac. Out hopefully will be Gibbs, Szczesny, Perez and maybe one or two others. We've also released a few from their contracts. Including Sanogo !
Sky Sports News understands that Spurs have hijacked the signing, by offering the : - club an extra £1 on the transfer fee - player CL football for the 2017-18 season
I think Ozil will stay. I hope Sanchez will stay and my feeling is that he will. Basically he has said that his mind is made up. We also know that no bids have been made for Sanchez. So I'm not sure how he could have made up his mind to leave if nobody had bid for him ? Anyway if we can keep Ozil and Sanchez and add Lacazette and Lemar/Mahrez, then our team suddenly looks a lot stronger next season.
Always an element of risk importing a player from another league, another country. Will they adapt to the PL and it's faster pace? Will they settle in the UK? How will they react to playing on a freezing cold, wet December night, etc.
Come on, if you are gonna pull out that cliche, go the whole hog! "Will he be able to cope on a cold Wednesday night in Stoke?"
The answer to that is of course : irrelevant. For the Goons save the PL 4th place Cup after springtime, not December.
