Gareth Ainsworth speaks well of Scowen ... What Wycombe boss and QPR legend has said about former charge Josh Scowen Scowen originally came through the ranks at Wycombe Wanderers, where he was nurtured by Gareth Ainsworth after being handed his debut by another ex-QPR player and manager, Gary Waddock. New signing Josh Scowen will be an exciting addition for QPR – if the assessment of one former Rs legend is to be believed. Scowen originally came through the ranks at Wycombe Wanderers, where he was nurtured by Gareth Ainsworth after being handed his debut by another ex-QPR player and manager, Gary Waddock. After four years in the Wycombe first team, Scowen signed for Barnsley two years ago, and at QPR he links up with another former Wanderers team-mate in the shape of Matt Ingram. Ainsworth, who played more than 200 games for the Rs and had two spells as caretaker manager, has always spoken highly of Scowen. Upon making the midfielder a regular in his side, Ainsworth said: “He's an outstanding talent and he understands the game really well. He's an outstanding prospect. “He can play any midfield roles though, that’s the beauty of Josh. He understands the game really well and is at the heart of everything, attacking and defending. “He will get goals too Josh, he’s that sort of character who pops up anywhere. He will put in a tackle, win a header and he’ll get a goal for you.” Ainsworth was equally complimentary when Scowen left for Barnsley, adding: “It's been a pleasure to work with Josh and I'm proud of the giant steps he's taken in terms of his development from being a fringe player before my time here, to one of the division's top players.” http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/what-wycombe-boss-qpr-legend-13267303
Here's Loft For Words take on the Josh Scowen signing. Also Clive has a bit of a rant about the goings on in and around the club and its transfer policy etc ... http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/news/45916
Actually it's quite a good rant from Clive. But between the way the club runs itself and the demands of the fans I can't see how anything will change.
All very deja-vuish, until we have a defined style of play and stick to it it'll be more of the same. Don't be surprised to see Ollie gone before the end of September if he carries on chopping and changing like last season...
He looks like he needs a serious pre-season. 28 in a few days- big season for him to either really 'make it' or drift back down the leagues.
Our squad has been overhauled every window for so many consecutive years now even the most level headed amongst us could be forgiven for having skewed expectations. The constant change almost feeds and encourages impatience amongst the fan base.

Manager Ian Holloway has been delighted with the progress of Eze, with the center forward finishing joint second highest goal scorer in the Premier Development League with 13 goals to his name during the 2016-17 campaign. Eze joined The Hoops in the summer of 2016 after spending his formative years as a footballer with the youth teams of Arsenal, Fulham and Millwall. He ended speculation about his international future after training with the Super Eagles during their get-together in London in March. Warri-born ex-England youth-team skipper Nedum Onuoha was in QPR's traveling party to Portugal, while Republic of Ireland U21 winger Olamide Sodipo missed out.
