I might turn up. A 59 yo utility player is better than playing with 5 men short Oops better just have two beers. I don't want to skinned by Elmo
Tymon will be as fat as a pig in a year after eating oatcakes for brekkie. £7k for 10 hours training a week FFS. The lucky bastard. I look forward to the day when realistic wages are paid. I am an optimist.
Mannion is interesting Southampton according to the HDM. Given their history of keepers, this should tell the City hierarchy that he's pretty damn good.
With Tymon & Robertson going we have Dawson who is able to train. Midfield we have enough for a midfield 4. And up top we have Abel and Dio. This feels like last season all over again.
I hope he stays. In my opinion if Silva had brought him back in after his ban we would have stayed up.
I always rated Boruc. When they bought him he was doing pretty well. Sometimes it doesn't work out and he's gone to Bournemouth and done well again. Peter Shilton (the **** him), Paul Jones, Maarten Stekelenburg, Kelvin Davies, Tim Flowers, Fraser Forster, Bruce Grobbelaar and of course the legend that is Antti Niemi to name but a few.
He's generally been terrible at Bournemouth, Stekelenburg has been awful at Everton, akin to Marshall with us. Forster the only decent one in recent years.
If he was that terrible at Bournemouth they'd have replaced him long before he made over 100 appearances for them. They've just signed Begovic, who in fairness is a good keeper. Stekelenburg at Ajax and Fulham was very good.
Yeah not really sure why they were happy to go through last season with Boruc and Federici after how appalling they both were the previous season. But hey, it worked for them. So Stekelenburg was good at two clubs prior to Southampton. Doesn't say much about his time at Soton or subsequently.
I think the other player we've been linked with (Polish fella) is a LWB - so could be something in it.
