Godolphin will surely buy Beckford up or McManus for a tilt at the Triumph Hurdle?

Had to laugh when Tracey Piggot asked Gordon who he fancies for the Derby, "I've no idea what's even in it, Aidan's hopefully, whatever he has" # awkward

Is Gordon going to become the GOAT

I was thinking before the race this would probably be Verbal Dexterity last run in the New Approach colours before switching to the all blue, maybe they will buy both.

Does Ryan Moore have any say in what he rides for Ballydoyle I wonder. He must be mighty frustrated at this stage watching the big race winners from there from behind. He either has no say or is a poor form reader. Apparently Sham Heffernan wanted to ride Capri today and he duly did.

He was on the Derby winner though. Not like he didn't have form in the book.

True. But he wasn't on the Derby winner in the Derby. Many had doubted the form although WOE ran well again to be fair, O'Brien saying Seamie knew Capri was better and wanted to ride him today, perhaps riding him at home each day helps. It's not specifically this one race, there is a rather larger sample size to choose from.

I think this Derby lot could run again in a few weeks time and you could get a different winner again. I just don't think there is much quality among the Derby horses this year. So not suprising Ryan Moore is struggling to choose, as they are all ****e <laugh>

As for the Galileo spamming, it's amazing how much 1 blood line completely dominates the pedigree of all the Derbys these days. Even if they aren't sired by Galileo, they are either grand sired by him, or they are from the Saddlers Wells blood line in some way.

I think Stenographer looks over priced in the 2.15 at 16s.Even though the old boy is running off top weight he has won here before and this doesn't look the strongest hcapp. In 2.45 Rattling Jewel looks to have a decent chance after winning c&d lto and 5lbs hike looks fair, 12s looks a decent price. Both very compatative races so happy to go ew.
