A win, still don't think that Sexton and Farrell worked at 10 and 12. If Sonny Bill hadn't gone they would have crucified us in that area. Teo has to play in the last test and pick either Farrell or Sexton at 10. I would pick Biggar think he has been better than both of them.
I hope they look at the simple penalties given away. Vunipola has to be dropped, he gave them 9 points and 10 mins in the bin. That is unacceptable and could have cost us the game.
So the English, Irish & Welsh Lions won....... Wonder what all those Jocks who called us that are thinking now.......
They are very bitter, on a forum even saying they would support the All Blacks now as there is no Scottish involvement.
I'm supporting the ABs too because he's not picking Biggar, Webb and Tips. Plus I don't want Gatland back over here
You talking about the 'sweaty socks' from the European Fiefdom of Scottyland Taff? Who gives a flying **** what they they say, think or do. They're not British anyway so **** em Besides, no Scottish person on tour deserves a test jersey, none have earned it and, lets be honest, none are good enough to be on the tour in the first place. Back to the game, I'm still gob smacked, just how the hell did we manage to win that one? We were truly appalling, cringingly poor. For most of the game we didn't have a fekking clue and the 14 man Kiwis should have tanked us, but miraculously they didn't. The poor bastards must be walking about in a daze of disbelief. The only thing I got out of the game was confirmation that life is a complete mystery, so enjoy it while you can. So its down to one game, the final test. After the result today, anything and everything is possible. Can't wait
**** I must have watched a different game to what Ferris and the others have been going on about. They said how good Farrell's place kicking was. It was ordinary at best and again as with last week, missed very kickable kicks. Does Sonny Bill miss next weeks test now.
They also said it was a great performance. The Lions were piss poor and clueless for the majority of the game. The only reason they won is because BB had an off night with the boot, and the ref gifted them a penalty in front of the sticks to win the game. They'll lose next week.
I honestly believe it is down to 9,10 and 12. they just don't know how to get backs moving. painfully slow and predictable in attack and we can do some damage outwide if we get it there quicker.
I thought we got out of jail on this one. Derek Quinnell called it correctly at half time in that we needed a disciplined 2nd half but we didn't deliver. Too many soft penalties given away with Vunipola in particular the chief culprit. I don't think Farrel and Sexton work together and we should revert back to the 1st test line up of 10,12,13. I would like to see Webb come in at say 55 mins as I think he had the game to break their line. Sonny Bill should be out next week which will be a big blow. I think it will be close, can we break the Auckland stronghold? I am not sure but let's give 100% and not give soft penalties away.
Perhaps if he does appeal the Disciplinary Panel should ask SBW for his views on these "tackles" - look around 1.35
A poor sending off that spoiled the game for me, Should have been sin-binned at most, It takes the shine off the win......We had the weather on our side and if it was not for the stupid penalties we keep giving away we were set up for a famous win against NZ full 15. I was disappointed with the French ref in fact to the point of embarrassment as he was a bit bias towards the Lions and he ignored some high tackles that took place by the lions, Still by default it sets it up for an interesting final next week that needs a better ref...
Dai - poor sending off? I watch a lot of Rugby Union, know something about the rules, and know that Head Injury is one of the greatest concerns that RU authorities have, particularly the long term effect that such injuries can have. (Soccer is also starting to wake up to this - think of poor off Jeff Astle) SBW's 'tackle' was "no arms", deliberately targeted at the head & clearly succeeded in hitting Watson flush on the head. It was a red card every day of the week. What was "poor" to use your word was the apparent attempt by the other officials to get Garces to re-think the red. Thankfully, after 50 years of refs turning a blind eye to AB misdemeanours, we had a ref who said "you're off".
