Good post. It's easy for a media savvy **** like stretford and obviously the Allams don't help themself.
The other juniors/development players must be all over this. Expect to be screwed over by Ehaw no matter how well you play. Mannion must be thinking how he can get out now!
Mannion cost us £100k at the tribunal and another £100k based on number of games played split in £25k increments...
I'm not sharing his details. But I can tell you that when he signed it was on a professional deal and we had to compete with PL clubs to sign him, so we offered him more money than we usually would.
Tymon came through the youth system, he was already contracted to the club. We definitely undervalued him.
I know we have been a bit of a shambles in the past but I am refusing to get my knickers in a twist because we haven't signed a player! It's the 1st of July!! If it's 1st of August and we haven't, then I'll panic. Anyone who thinks this club is not attempting to buy players or isnt negotiating as we speak then they really don't have a clue! Ref Tymon, if what we have heard is true then it's very poor on our behalf, but we don't know anything really, and if I'm been really honest(and it's only my opinion) I don't actually think he would be an ideal left back for us next season. He's strikes me as one of those players that would learn better in the premier league as opposed to a rough and ready championship. Some players learn better at the top level,
It was his first pro contract and same for Tymon. There's no earthly we give Tymon 500 quid and mannion three or four grand a week.
I didn't say Mannion was on that, just that it wasn't 500 a week. He'd also represented England at U18s level, so he was always going to command a higher wage. I could be wrong, but I don't think Tymon had featured for England until after we offered him a deal. Which if anything makes it more bizarre we haven't tried harder.
