Really like some of the new nike items in the spurs shop. Just picked up one of the navy/white t-shirts. <ok>

Now to sweet talk the missus into buying me the home shirt... <laugh>

Need to get the catalogue ordered, I fancy buying a Spurs Tracksuit...I'm actually quite excited to see what merchandise will be on offer.

The training jacket looks great. It's traditional Spurs light blue, the colour that the crash barriers used to be painted and that we've had as an away shirt (83-85).

I can't buy a complete tracksuit as they don't make the trousers long enough and even if they did, there's only so much light blue a late middle aged white man with very grey hair can carry off.

Kundai Benyu's first public comment after deciding to move to the backwaters of European football? Say that Celtic are a bigger club than Spurs.

Didn't take long for Brendan's radicalisation to make him a deluded fool, did it?

Kits are quite sexy, has to be said.

Didn't take long for the Goon blogs to come out saying that their Addidas deal will be worth more than our Nike deal.

Who wants to point out to them that the figure they're quoting has a whole bunch of Ts & Cs attached, not least Champions League qualification?

I'm feeling the Windrunner Hooded top for 65 quid...I've promised to kit the boys out next season since its Nike....might treat myself to the Windrunner.

I don't like the Home kit, that red is too dominating, should have been the Spurs blue, I mean they can have it in white for the Away kit, which I think looks smart btw.

    That rag isn't a kit, though. It's a monstrosity.

    Catalogue ?? Tracksuit ??

Get yourself down to Next and buy yourself a proper outfit, a three piece suit, shirt with collar and a decent tie.

Ahem, Aquascutum? Whilst acquiring the outfit, perhaps also a nice smoking jacket for those evenings at home?

I agree about the wind runner top. Looks class <ok>

The red on the new shirt I can deal with on this kit, as at least the rest of it is white, it's a simple design, and there's some history in the reasoning behind the shield.
It's when our home kits have random yellow lining, blue shoulders, and seat belts on them that does my head in. <doh>
All but 1 of the under armour kits were ****e. The only one I liked was the 2013 HP shirt.

Just took delivery of the two tone blue away shirt from a couple of seasons ago- looks quite smart. I'd model it but its not a good look on 50 something in public

There are reports that we are closing in on a deal for Pau Lopez now that the original option terms negotiated as part of the loan deal have expired. The player's value has significantly declined given that the loan occupied the penultimate year of his contract. With only 12 months on his current deal, he is seen to be worth £2.2 m rather than the £6m that Espanyol were asking for prior to allowing his contract to get so close to expiry.

Increasingly, Spurs business is concentrated upon players in this position and players with undervalued buy-out clauses. Victor Wanyama cost a ridiculous £9m. Ross Barkley would be beyond our means if he had 2 years or more left on his current deal. The same with Max Meyer, Mathias Ginter, etc. Why pay huge transfer fees when planning and a bit of gentle tapping up can deliver talent for less than half of the market value? This is the benefit of having a settled management and a philosophy of recruitment -

    • Have we got players in the Academy that can fill the places?
    • Have we identified a player who is coming to the end of his contract?
    • Is there a player under the age of 28 that we can afford and hopefully, improve?
    • Have we left it too late in the window? If so, what's Moussa Sissoko doing and is Mike Ashley in need of a few bob?

As Arsenal are finding out, letting very rare and expensive assets depreciate is a costly decision.

I like the home and away kits of last season, although both were unnecessarily busy . Hated the 3rd kit (we wore it FAR too often). Other than those, I agree - the Under Armor sartorial experience has largely been a forgettable one. I'm willing to look beyond the red sponsor on this year's kit as it is sheer class other than that. Also thrilled to now have Nike as the manufacturer. They are the biggest fish in the sporting merchandise sea and taking us on board shows that they can see how much potential we have to be a global force. The new stadium NFL ties will have helped massively in getting the deal across the line.
