SBW must be laughing. Te'o kept him (relatively) quiet - don't think Farrell will do the same. As for AWJ selection - just crazy. And Warburton? Slight Welsh bias I suspect. ABs won't be worried at all. My biggest concern is finding somewhere around the Waterford area of Eire to watch it ......
Johanna Konta beat world number 1 Kerber in straight sets at Eastbourne and goes into the semi-finals, but had a very serious fall at match point landing flat on her back. Got up after a delay and won, but lets hope that with Wimbledon on the horizon she isn't going to suffer for it. She is a seriously good player and, even more importantly, has the determination and temperament to go with it...this could be the year to really go for Wimbledon with Serena out of the picture.
http://www.bbc.com/sport/athletics/40443699 So the greatest is saying goodbye to the sport at an age considerably younger than when Linford Christie started to run seriously fast times and his Olympic gold.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula-one/40455584 Ron Dennis leaves McLaren . Thanks & Good luck . No angel , but did a great job IMHO.
Good luck to all the athletes running in this weekend's trials for a place in next month's World Championships. Would love to see British sprinters running under 10 seconds consistantly, our 800m ladies running inside 2 minutes and the 1500m men performing at around 3.34 in the finals of World Championships.
