Off Topic Oasis

Just heard Charmless Man on the radio.

**** off.

 

Remeber the Blur/Oasis rivalry? Load of ****e and Oasis were better hands down but at the time and still to this day Pulp A Different Class was a better album than both could produce.

 

I didn't much like Pulp largely because I thought Jarvis Cocker was a cock.

And I hate Year 2000.

 

I'd rather listen to my parents shagging than listen to Pulp.

 

It's just been over played and yes Cocker is a muppet but what an album from start to finish, brilliant stuff. Full of songs that related to the time we were in, they never came close to following that up. Would be up there in my top albums of all time.

 

I couldn't say I'm a Pulp fan but that album is a classic.

 

The original VW Beetle is a classic car but it's still a pile of ****.

As it is, I just liked his music

 

Of course, I was merely pointing out some interesting facts about him.

 

Oasis?, the most overrated band in history, painful Beatles ripoffs. Liam Gallagher tryng to copy Lennon's singing on Rain for an entire career. Noel Gallagher playing basically the same riff and his songwriting? hah.

 

Fun for a bit though, at the time.

 

Most of Britpop was pretty crap really, but at least Blur were a bit original.

 

Cant beat The Gorillaz

 

I'd give that award to U2.

Oasis is quite rightly considered a 1 hit wonder in the US.

After Wonderbra nobody listened to them anymore. (And that song sucks too if we're honest)
