I seem to be in a minority of one but I actually like Grayson always have done I think he would do well for us but I reckon he will turn us down.
BBC are saying he signed up at once. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40444054 His initial statement contains all the right noises.------ ' "I want a group of players full of desire, team spirit and a never-say-die attitude - that's the very least that we should expect from a Sunderland player." I've been wanting to watch a Sunderland side with that attitude foe so time. Here's hoping.
Sounds a good appointment imo. The positivity and enthusiasm from him might rub off on the players, unlike the last half wit you hired.
Why are you lads posting about the new manager on here. Completely different subject. Try this one http://www.not606.com/threads/safc-given-permission-to-speak-to-grayson.349704/
Yes I would'nt be surprised he's a successful businessman and only really knows how to make money - most of the big money owners are like that (Mr Gibson apart ) with no emotional connection to the football club.
I'm underwhelmed with Grayson but all soundbites about him seem really good and he is positive - so get back to the SOL as a Sunderland fan - we could walk away with the title as under Peter Reid.
That's what matters most doesn't it? Vacancy: Sunderland Managers Job. Required: must be good ear candy for the fans. Other skills desirable but not essential. Screw his soundbites, they mean **** all. Keeping us steady and out the drop zone while Short sorts his **** out is all that matters to me. Get a feeling fans will expect more though, then the soundbites will mean **** all to the fans who love their sound bites
You could be right but I'm hearing better soundbites than with moyes "we're in a relegation fight". At least more fans now have hope and are getting behind him and the players will feel better about playing here - - psychological progress but of course no one knows if he can achieve his aims - but at least they're positive. Many challenges to overcome ... but if he is successful Short may be here for a good while .... will tell
You never know in 10 years time we might be saying thank god Short stuck to his guns and got rid of all the parasites infecting our club and put us back on the right path.
I would prefer to think that it will be Bain and Grayson that will be cleansing the club rather than Short who so far has made a complete hash of running our club. Short would go up in my estimation if he resigned the chairmanship and gave it to someone with a football brain.
Agree entirely mate nothing would be better for me as well but we may look back in 10 years and be bowing to the man.
Not sure if it was all down to him he did provide a lot of money but imo those who were supposed to know the football market place sold him short. Anyway that's in the past we hopefully move on to grayt times .
