How are homeless people relevant? EU citizens that move here have to pay rent, unless I misread the rules? Unemployed EU citizens can claim housing benefit if they're eligible, but they still have to pay deposit + rent + fees and then make a claim, just like any UK citizen. That's the whole point of EU law, we all get the same rights in every country we're in. Healthcare, benefits, law, etc...

Homeless EU citizens are the ones that got here and tried but failed to claim benefits. Because it's not as easy as the right wing press claim it is. Once you're in the system, you have the same rights as other UK citizens.

Homelessness is ****ed and shouldn't be a thing in the 21st century. The government could eradicate it in a couple of years at a tiny cost, but it's not what our taxes are for. They're for bombing camel herders and sustaining our own unemployable ****wits like Kevin.

 

We just need to make sure their house is never a home.
