So, you want to keep the high-earning foreigners but chuck out the ‘pond scum slovaks’? That’s the nub of the argument: no one minds a family of Dutch or Germans moving in next door, but heaven forbid you get lumbered with Slovak or Romanian neighbours.

I can see the logic behind such an idea: only let in those who have something to offer, as in skills, money and a grasp of the English language. It’s a just a shame this policy was not rolled out earlier, or at least before the ‘pond scum’ arrived to do the menial jobs.

Successive governments could have saved themselves a whole lot of upheaval if they’d forced Brits to take on the low paid jobs in the first place. Instead they allowed perennial jobseekers to sit on the dole while our hardworking cousins from abroad bolstered the backbone of society.

Brexit is not for everyone, granted, but the one definite positive to come of it will be a bright, new political movement – one that doesn’t include the Tories and Labour. They’ve had their turn, the ****s.

I can’t speak for Kevin or anyone else who voted for Brexit, but I can assure you I never dabbled in some sort of social experiment – and to even suggest it is deeply insulting. You seem to have this idea that every single person who voted to leave the EU is a jingoist or a racist or a raving lunatic, but that is simply not true; some of us are just sick and tired of the same old system and its failure to bring about any worthwhile change.

Controlled immigration is great; unfettered immigration is bad for the poorest members of society, including the immigrants. Your utopian ideal of a borderless super-state is doomed to fail because it has been foisted on the people, who ultimately have to live with it but have no say in the matter. Britain’s membership of the EU would have continued had it not been for the sheer bloody mindedness of those who think they know best.

And for the record, I would happily abolish the monarchy.

Let in anyone from Europe in and poor people from Africa because otherwise you are racist but not Americans or Chinese people unless they apply for Visas?

It's either a free for all Globally and I'm moving to Santa Monica or we only let people in that we need .
