I did amend my comment, he's obviously marketable, but not to the tune of a £200m price tag.
There's players who'd get you your money back and then some, he's definitely not one at £200m.

I suspect the price-tag is as much Levy telling clubs "keep the **** away!" as much as anything, Tel.
That's all it is, there's nothing else to it. If he genuinely believed he was worth £200m then he'd have to pay him a salary that reflected that and that would shatter your wage structure, he'd be on something ridiculous like £500k a week.

Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale, 27, is open to a move to Manchester United.(Daily Star)
Zidane was recently quoted as saying that there was no way he would consider selling Bale.
Yes Hiag, the gossip column is generally full of ****.
I get the feeling he's considered a true one season wonder and clubs aren't willing to take a chance (at least nowhere near the price Leicester want for him)So, Akky, you don't believe that Mahrez will end up at Arsenal, then?
That's hilarious!
Thanks for making my day, Bambi!

... he was brilliant the season before the title win too ... and he was pretty good in the European campaign last season ... but then I watched him in every game .. a lot better basis than just a feeling tbf ...
I don't think it makes any difference.
Kane has been the best striker in the Prem for two seasons on the trot, he's young, a natural born leader, he's English, and he's owned by Levy on a long contract.
Is there really anyone out there who genuinely believes that nothing short of a very silly offer would even tempt Levy to sell?

Fair point, so why do you think there hasn't been a stampede for his signature thus far?... he was brilliant the season before the title win too ... and he was pretty good in the European campaign last season ... but then I watched him in every game .. a lot better basis than just a feeling tbf ...

Apart from Walker.Of course not, Levy is shrewd when it comes to sales and nobody can deny that. I don't envisage any immediate problems for Spurs with regards to holding on to players they want to keep.
Apart from Walker.
He could well end up having to eat **** though, if City sign AlvesApart from Walker.
Shock horror! Spud fans turn on those that want out with we don't need him or Bale, Modric, Berbatov & Carrick.Well we're reliably informed on here that they don't want to keep him. That'll probably apply to any player who is sold by them from now on.
Probably because his attitude stinks. He thinks we should sell him on the cheap because clubs won't pay the asking price despite also thinking he is too good for us despite not showing up last season!Fair point, so why do you think there hasn't been a stampede for his signature thus far?
