I've been listening to a lot of them recently, And I must say, I'm impressed, I haven't jumped on the bandwagon, Unlike some people, That's annoyed me as well, I don't understand, Why people have suddenly decided they're good, Where were they before they were popular again, And before you ask me, I've been a fan of Oasis for over 20 years.

They had 2 good albums, the rest are ****. They seemed to acknowledge this themselves in the Supersonic documentary. Those two albums though were superb and part of a great music scene.

I thought Oasis were overrated tbh. I preferred the Stone Roses.

Matth so you've finally jumped on the bandwagon, mate? Better late than never I guess. Some of us were listening to them 20 years ago.

2 excellent albums but the rest were average.

What bandwagon? That was twenty years ago ffs!

We had a conversation about this on another thread last week but Oasis had one brilliant album, one very good album and then another fifteen years of absolute dross to follow.

Liam Gallagher is one of life's absolute cretins. I don't mind Noel so much.

Yeah can't be doing with those bell ends.
A few of their songs are decent, but every time I see Liam Gallagher being interviewed I get the urge to smash his ugly chimp looking face right ****ing in!

    Exactly the same here.
Noel seems like a bit of a helmet, but probably okay when you get to know him.
    Liam is a total twat.

True Story......my mate Lee was a MASSIVE Oasis fan and tracked down Noel Gallaghers house and knocked on the door (very stalkery I know, I told him as much).
When the door opened it was actually Liam stood there, and Lee asked for his autograph, Noel shouted "Who is it?" and Liam said "No one" and picked up one of Noel's guitars, signed it, and gave it to my friend Lee! To this day he has, in his living room, one of Noel Gallaghers guitars with Liam Gallaghers signature on it.!

Oasis had 2 good albums, Definitely Maybe, What's The Story and 3 if you want to count The Masterplan. After this the hunger was gone, it was all about money and fame, they become a sort of pop band. Beefing with folk like Robbie Williams and living off a reputation as two miserable Manc ****ers who didn't give a ****.

At their very best, they were good, but there were better bands who weren't obsessed with the limelight and the fame. The Verve were far better than Oasis, and for me the difference can be measured when Oasis released Be Here Now around the same time as the Verve released Urban Hymns.

Oasis are brilliant live mind, I'd put them up there with The Prodigy as a live act.

No I haven't, I was on it way before people thought it was popular to jump on it to be fair.

Noel is a top song writer - even today with High Flying Birds. Liam is a tool who is lost without his more talented brother

Still want to know how old you are math. I don't reckon your much older than 20.

Therefore I assume you were buying their records from HMV when you were in nappies.

I saw Noel Gallagher on a BBC documentary say that he'd swap having written all of his back catalogue for having written 'Never Mind The Bollocks'.

If he swapped it all for having written 'Holidays In The Sun' then he'd still be significantly ahead.

No, if he traded it for the intro, he'd still be robbing it.
