Well what a great Thursday morning. I went to sleep with the club as tenants and wake up to them being owners - great news
According to wiki he goes by the name 'big cock' I kid you not. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ezgjan_Alioski
Can't put the link, but some good stuff on him on YouTube Has an annoying range of goal celebrations, I noticed, and real bender hair. I expect I'll find it in me to put up with his goal celebrations Looked a natural left footed player with an eye for goal (useless defences, as is usual on these videos, but here's hoping )
Now champ, as you know, I respect your views and I hear what you're saying here, maybe he would have been less dogshit if someone were behind him because, feck me, the last person I would want defending Leeds as the Centre Back would be Belluscshit but, weirdly, he had something that made you want to believe he was better than garbage.
Hang on here. Isn't Radz just a front man for Cellino, who actually still owns the club? I'm sure I heard that, from someone who suggested we acknowledge his unerring nous when he was proved right? Maybe Radz has gone rogue? Or maybe it was all b0llocks?
The real problem we had with Bellusci, if you look back, was Bamba. He was a liability & forever charging out of position, exposing Bellusci (or Cooper if playing). The most stable pairing we had then was Cooper & Bellusci. Far from perfect, but more reliable than Bamba playing with Bobby Moore in his day, if you see what I mean. At the end of the day, as a Championship team, we can only attract 2nd rate players, and they will always be suspect, otherwise they'd be playing PL. Last season was the exception, as you know. We had 2 PL-standard CBs, and the step-up was obvious (and will be difficult to surpass whilst we remain in the 2nd tier for exactly the reason I mentioned - Bartley was PL-standard & has returned there, born again.). Bellusci had howlers. No doubt about that. Many were his fault, many caused by Bamba, and many caused by his temperament. As a DM, I think he had the technical skills, the engine, the determination & the nastiness to be excellent. He also had good ball skills too, remember. How many of our CBs have scored a goal like this - or our DMs for that matter?
Nope, sorry Neil, a worldly free kick doesn't make a centre back a proper centre back. Personally can't blame Bamba for how garbage Bellend was but you crack on
And wasn't Bates fronted by GFH? And Haigh? And Cellino? So is it Bates that's just bought ER? From himself? Aw, come on - we've not had a conspiracy theory for a while. Canny help myself.
Now let's be clear - I never said he was a proper CB. I clearly said he was 2nd rate. And there is no doubt that Bamba exposed him regularly - and exposed Cooper too, when he played. But you think back to how settled Bellusci/Cooper was compared to the other 2 pairings. Night & day. Common denominator? Bamba. And I stand by my belief that he would have been a better DM than CB. As I recall today, there have been at least 2 posts agreeing with this. So it's not just me.
