Apparently on his way to Milan for 5.5m. Thats good money for him, I really like Martin Bain and I hope this consortium decide to keep him. Thanks for the memories, Fabio. The reality is you are canny ****e though.
Would be delighted to see the back of him and if we get 5m+ it's a miracle considering he's a completely headless chicken. Stupid signing, likely on big money. Time to move on.
Yep. He's scored 16 goals in 5 seasons. Half of them came in one season alone. Didn't rate him. Some rumours are quoting 6m
Not a very good footballer unfortunately, always frustrated me because in his head he's up there with the world's best and I always thought maybe he knows something we don't but over time it became apparent he's just deluded. Good price for him, more good work from Bain. Byrne would have let him go for peanuts.
Yes....his ambition outweighed his ability, having said that, a transfer to Milan is not bad for a player we all know is rank average.
I always said that he never seemed to do the simple stuff simply - first touch, shot, pass etc. yet always had a worldie in his locker.
He proved himself a legend in his own mind when he felt too good to join us a couple of years ago. No love lost or tears shed. Taxi.
Sad he's going but the last 2 months of the season summed him up for me!! Still will always have a soft spot after the goal against City in the cup final, I thought for a moment that we may win something . . . . but it wasn't to be. More upsetting, as my little lads best two players are Borini & Defoe - the lad is gutted.
Was good when we had him on loan and as mentioned for that goal in the cup final, i will always remember him fondly.
He was a great player when he was on loan. He fitted in well in that team with Ki making good passes and AJ hitting diagonals to him. He seemed to get pished off that he wasn't the main striker when Defoe was on the pitch which was utterly stupid. It all seemed to go wrong from there
