It's been done as far as I'm concerned, I'd never want to dissuade somebody from committing 100% to their faith, despite that accusation being thrown around in this thread.

People are going to demand proof with any conflicting view, so we're all just banging our heads against the wall here figuratively speaking.

The only time I go in on the person and not the religion is when they become hostile or patronising.

Time for round two, Piers Morgan probably edged this one, he's into the semi finals now.

    Anders Breivik vs Mother Theresa.

It certainly was not overplayed as an excuse to get the pressure off the service providers. It was raised decades ago, so all involved should have been actively rooting it out. To try to blame the authorities, is to avoid the community responsibility. Whether there should be a 'community', rather than people intergrating into society is a whole other argument.

Pagan IS a religion, or at least a generic term for certain types of religion. To say it moved in and out is simply wrong. The kaaba, and ramadan are pagan religious traditions.

Islam took the pagan moon god, it's the root of the pagan traditions islam adopted, including the crescent and star symbol itself.

It wasn't raised as an "Asian/Muslim" issue decades ago at all.

There has been a progression of the perpetrators involved in such crimes as ultimately it is related to drugs and thug life

The "community" have been raising issue for a while but are largely ignored. Not dissimilar to perpetrators of attacks like thise we witnessed recently

The Kaaba has it origins in religions focussed in 1 God. From Adam and Eve to Abraham to Muhammad. Islam has 124 000 Prophets starting with Adam and ending with Muhammad. Anyone of those advocating the Kaaba and fasting is not taking it from paganism rather bringing it back to islam

As for the crescent and star that isn't something that is from Islam. The turks and countries like Pakistan used that as more of a symbol of secularism. It was never used by the Prophet or the companions and most Muslims don't use it as one, scholars have spoken about it and shown it to be a modern phenomenon dictated by things like naval insignia etc but not Islam

Its like domes on mosques, this was an architectural thing instigates by Saudi kings am did not representative of Islam. Islam actually would do away with them.

It was. There were tv programmes about it. The community objected to it being screened as it reflected badly on them.

The crescent was the symbol of the pagan moon god. It has roots in Egypt too. It is used by some muslims, but in any event, the faith is still in the moon god of pagan beliefs.

You are referencing from your book, which I do not accept as an authoritative source. It needs external proofs, as would the bible.

Paganism was the religion that inititiated the traditions, Islam simply added some man made rules to it as a means of control. Christianity did a similar thing.

    Can you give references?

Its never stopped TV etc what the communities think, unless they had a valid case

I can, but not right now. I think one was channel four, and another was BBC. I can't be sure, as they tend to be linked with undercover filming in mosques that didn't get air time too.

You are just making assertions here without providing any proof

I knew you were going to say I was referencing the book so I purposefully didn't. I used a wikki argument

Your personal assertions are no good so bring something with proof

And Old Ma Theresa is ever so slightly dead. So I can't see it being much of a contest.

Which bit specifically are you saying is wrong?

I'm saying the Islamic traditions are pagan in origin. The evidence for that is that the things like the nativity story, flood, ramadan and the kaaba predate the koran. You don't seem to disagree with that, so what's your argument?

I should get time later when I'm in a place I can look. I'm surprised that someone that claimed to have been involved is denying the problem didn't exist back then though.
